In Just Dance 2018 and earlier, we used to see the top 5 scores in our own country and the world. In Just Dance 2019 and onward, we see a single Dancer of the Week. Maybe the old way had some issue, like too much data to keep updated? I have a few suggestions for how you might show a few more scores with the current system.

It would be cool if you could see the aggregate scores of all 50 (approximately) of the current dances. Maybe it would show your average score for all of the dances. Maybe there could be one leaderboard page that you could pull up for Average Score of all 50 Dances, like it shows on the WDF, showing your score and the first page (about 7-8 scores), giving you some idea of where you rank relative overall to all of the thousands of players who have used the same platform. Every time you improve any personal high score, your average score for all of the dances would go up, and you would gradually rise up the leaderboard. (Or maybe it should use your best 3 scores for each song, not just your personal best, rewarding players who can do great consistently.)

You could have a similar leaderboard for the Unlimited dances, showing the average score for all 500 (?) dances (not just the dances that you've done). Knowing where you stand, the spirit of improvement and competition would drive more players to try to rise up the leaderboard. Every time a new dance is released, you would need to attempt it or your average would drop significantly.

Whatever the current Playlist is that has been recently released, it would be cool if you had the option of seeing other scores when you dance to it, provided that you have online access enabled at the time. If you could enable/disable such a feature, some players could see a leaderboard between dances and at the end, much as you do when dancing in a tournament on the WDF, and other players who don't want the delay/distraction could turn it off so it works like usual. Personally, I rarely dance to the playlists, but if they showed other players' scores when I danced to them, I would be much more interested. It's nice to see where you stand, how other players are doing. Especially, if the game only showed (A) scores from your own console and (B) scores from the same mode of game play (Kinect, phone, etc.), then seeing that other players hit amazing scores the same way you are dancing, it might help motivate you, seeing that it's possible. Right now, for Dancer of the Week, you see a 13,300 on a song that's difficult for you, but you don't know if that player hit that score with a camera or a phone.

On the WDF, during a song vote or tournament, players see several scores. But after a team battle or boss battle, they see one high score and a few other results. Sometimes the same player gets exposure on several of these results. That is, they hit the high score, had the most perfects, and earned the first star. So instead of giving exposure to 8 dancers who hit great scores, the game is often given added exposure to the top dancer, who would also have been highlighted if the whole leaderboard had shown. All that's changing really is that 7 players are losing exposure. Imagine the players who are struggling to land on the first page of the leaderboard, and when their best dance finally comes up, it's in a team battle or boss battle, and instead of seeing their name in the top 8 of the leaderboard, they just see the top dancer listed several times. It just seems a bit strange. (For players who want to dance without seeing a leaderboard, well, why come to the WDF for that? You can dance off the WDF and see only your own score.)

The game is amazing, and it's really cool to see so many extraordinary dancers hitting amazing scores, whether it's Dancer of the Week or on the WDF. If you can find more ways to show more scores, that would be great.
