Well, a fictional Cuba of sorts at least, so it seems.
"Welcome to Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time. As the dictator of Yara, Anton Castillo is intent on restoring his nation back to its former glory by any means with his son, Diego, following in his bloody footsteps. Their ruthless oppression has ignited a revolution."
"the protagonist is a Yara local named Dani Rojas, a guerilla soldier fighting for freedom.".

Those will come in a separate package. Probably paid for.Originally Posted by legacyzero Go to original post
There was talk of making arcade it's own separate thing leading up to FC5's release, so maybe they're working on something like that as a stand alone game not tied to the FC franchise anymore.
As for FC6, I just hope they bring back takedowns in a big way, expand upon them rather than regress even further than FC5 did. I hope the new fangs for hire they mentioned are more optional than the system in FC5 was and not nearly such a core element. I am also hoping there is not a tier / level system on weapons and enemies...
Hopefully we can customize the main character in this game.
No online multiplayer or editor = no buy.
I dont think Ubisoft would be stupid enough after the backlash from FC4.
If they make the Arcade a stand alone entity it had better get some sweet updates and new game modes.
There is still a large community supporting the Arcade.
there is some theory that the bad guy son is a child vaas and if so this game would be a prequel meaning far cry 5 ending had not happened yet or this game can be taking place in location unaffected by far cry 5 end either way ending being canon is not disproven just yetOriginally Posted by KrayZee_ Go to original post
that said i also hope it is not canon as well though
I blame ignorant gamers for this. We got Far Cry Arcade, gamers badmouth it and said it is tacked on and claims Far Cry is and always will be a single player game and never about multiplayer. The lack of respawning vehicles and game modes made the older generation of Far Cry players upset and they also badmouthed it. This likely made Ubisoft lose faith in it if it's true there's no multiplayer or map editor.Originally Posted by shotgunbutcher Go to original post
I doubt it. The main installments has always been consistent with the story taking place at the same year when the game is released since 2008.Originally Posted by Gr4nt8r0dy Go to original post
From my perspective, the MP in FC has always been mediocre at best and just plain bad at it's worst, people just tolerated average to sub-average MP because the map editor was pretty good and added a unique element to it. If Ubi didn't consistently drop the ball on making a decent MP component, maybe the editor wouldn't be at risk. MP does see a far lower user engagement for a game in the genre than many others where the MP is more of a focal point after all, I think they said on the high end they see about 30% of users actively engage in the MP for the FC titles, which is pretty low for an FPS game, but most FPS MP is the primary draw, not so with Far Cry though...
