    Skills in PvP

I have a simple question. What skills are viable for killing an opponent in PvP?

Before you answer I want to rule out the following skills from your answers: Revive Hive, Booster Hive, Restorer Hive, Repairer Drone, Defender Drone, Pulse, Shields and Chem Heals.

Using skills isn't PVP (player versus player) because you're not the one doing the damage. It doesn't take any skill to drop a hive and hide or shoot off a fire cloud.
For those without talent, go ahead and use the bulwark shield skill. Hide behind it, take no damage as you shoot your pistol. It's viable and I see it a lot in the DZ.
If you want to get better, pick up a gun and shoot it and do it a lot.
There should be a skill gap. Players should be rewarded for practicing pvp. Skills destroy this gap and that's exactly why pvp in Division 2 is in the state it is in now.

The assumption that players that choose to run skill builds have no skill has no truth to it. It is nothing more than a bias from players that themselves have failed to develop the skills necessary to counter that class of builds.

Tier 0 Jammer destroys tier 6 skills and disrupts tier 6 players.

Status effects have been nerfed into the ground and with the changes to Booster hive will be literally useless.

Explosive builds have been nerfed into the ground to the point that the suggestion that seekers are an option is pure ignorance on the developer's part as seekers struggle to down a red bar in live and certainly won't kill anyone in PvP.

Stingers nerfed, a single charge can't kill you and if you can't run out of the AoE that's on you as you can escape the entire AoE within the time it takes to discharge one set of stingers.

Sniper Turret is almost impossible to use in PvP as it's too sensitive, has only two target locations and still doesn't do much damage

    Bombardier Drone.. lol.

So when we acknowledge that skill barely do any damage, are easily mitigated against and come with major costs associated with their use then who is really lacking in skill when they continue to attack skills and demand that they are nerfed.

And lastly when the developer responsible for such things states that we want skills to be: "Somewhat viable" they expose the reality that that bias is prevelant within the developers as somewhat viable is not viable.

Skills like the firestarter and the hive have done a lot of harm to PvP, I am very happy that the firestarter is finally nerve to the next version. I also hope that the developers will take care of the Ladydeath which is overpowered and that the shield / pistol will also be adjusted.

Mortar, but it requires accuracy and for you to make some good predictions.

    In conflict btw

I'm not happy about it, and I will not support a developer that creates an entire class of playstyle and then actively works against its users... the player.

You're not happy about it because you're unwilling to improve in pvp. That's fine. There's a lot more PVE content than PVP content in this game.
You're also the guy that uses bumpers in bowling and when you get a strike you think you're good versus the other bowlers who practice and practice till they gain proficiency.

Yeah I'd agree with that and might also add Burster but with the caveat that it too is easily mitigated against with proximity. So thus far we have two skills out of fouteen that are viable in PvP. How many guns are viable. Many. How many utility skills are useful. Almost all of them. So we have an active bias against damage dealing skills in PvP and no rational justification for it.

When I feel like it which is not very often and that is because my preferred playstyle is continuously nerfed in PvP. If I'm in the DZ and you try and gank me you'll get some back but I don't go out of my way to find PvP. Before you claim that this makes my opinion of no value consider the point that I like a nice PvP session but nerf after nerf after nerf has removed that enjoyment in this game. You can look up my stats on GG tracker if you want. Same name and spelling in UPlay.

I payed for this game just like anyone else and have supported it with money that I simply did not need to spend. I'm entitled to access that content in the manner that I choose. Unless there is an active bias against skills, in which case I am being deliberately constrained to meet the wishes of the few.
