    Slam balance suggestion

Players are using this ability for its fast travel capabilities rather than the actual slam. They cancel the slam after traveling to where they want to be, and this hack is the best way to get height as well.

My suggestion is to lower the height capability this hack has. It should go high enough to make it just above an average rooftop. This will prevent the forward travel capabilities from going so far up and over things.

An alternative solution would be to lower the forward momentum that is allowed while using this hack.

Thanks for the suggestion! I have seen Slam canceling used a few times in some streams I have been watching. Some use it as an alternative to Teleport to help get on top of buildings easier. Do you think this kind of use of the hack is a bigger problem for gameplay as a whole? I personally think it is a really cool movement mechanic idea, and it is fairly easy for anyone with Slam to do.

I think making hacks and weapons feel different and useful for different playstyles is very important. I'm disappointed when games have a limited meta or lackluster abilities. The thing I enjoy the most about this game is the different ways you can play it and how impactful the abilities feel.

I think making the slam ability more uniquely defined by the actual slam will separate it further from being another form of the teleport ability. As it is now, Slam nullifies the use of Ball and is a better transportation method than Teleport or Ball, although teleport is better for focusing a direction and chasing someone down without making yourself a target in the air. Also, I think Slam has too many uses compared to other abilities. By limiting the forward momentum or the height capability, Slam would be no better for mobility than Ball or Teleport but still have the advantage of the slam, which also instantly breaks Wall.

Unless this game likes to rotate over-powered balances for the sake of players that like over-powered builds, I think this would allow players to rotate builds/playstyles better when they become bored of using certain hacks.

An easier solution could be just to increase the cooldown for Slam.
