Minigun is going to kill this games meta

every game its the only gun i die to. every game its the only gun anyone uses.. while i would love to have cool sniper battles and intense gunfights.. every game is SLAM- MINIGUN-DEAD... so, it would seem your gun balance need a complete overhaul or.. just remove the stupid minigun.. atleast it if was a smg that had a fast fire rate it would make reloading the weakness, without reload its a brain dead meta imo.

EDIT: LITERALLY in 2 days playing your game i havent died to any other weapon but the minigun....

Instead of removing it all together, what kind of nerfs are you looking for? The most popular suggestions appaear to be decreasing it's rate of fire and nerfing the overall damage. Another thread suggested adding more of a movement penalty when firing the Hexfire.

Hi dude ^-^ appreciate the hard work y'all are putting on this game. I've seen the movement nerf suggestion just once but i think it has to be considered... Sure, people could just switch to melee, but it's kinda logic that a massive minigun is going to slow you down right?

Apart from that with a rate of fire decrease and slightly more spread the weapon would be balanced IMHO.

    Have a great day

I doubt lowering the fire rate or the damage would stop the problem without you killing the weapon entirely. The ammo capacity is the problem. The TTK is obviously really high considering the sheer amount of movement, so picking your reload times in going to be a micro meta in itself. Considering you don't have to reload with it in a 1v1 situation, you can completely focus on tracking and your own movement. I personally lean towards lowering the movement speed or maybe even the speed stays the same but you cant jump as high/ double jump. When it is this easy to close the distance on your opponent the hexfire just plain outclasses every other gun ATM. Thanks for your time.

I've put about 20 hours into the game since I got access on the 3rd. I would say that the main issue is the ammo capacity. If it was lets say... a 50 round magazine to start with it may but a lot more under control.

Ammo capacity is another idea I've seen a few times on the Reddit. Having more of a movement penalty makes sense in my opinion.
