After 4 days I'm done, and I have only one thing to say. This raid was incredible. There, now you don't need to read the rest.

Seriously though, thank you Ubisoft for yet another incredible raid experience. You didn't rely on pure DPS checks and boss melting, you included a (fairly) interesting subplot and description of the characters in the raid journal, and most of all you made it bad-***. The only thing I'll mention about Destiny raiding in this thread is that the raids in that game were usually in some of the most beautifully detailed locations, and I'm so glad to say that the same can be said of Iron Horse. But, more than anything Destiny has produced, Iron Horse is a genuinely challenging raid that requires not the cheesiest build or the highest watch level (I started the raid at watch level 109, I'm at 128 now and had no problems with my build and I actually led a few encounters); but instead what is absolutely necessary is teamwork, communication, and coordination (and, sometimes, a little luck). There are so many ways for solo players to prove how good they are; this raid on week one is a perfect way for a team to prove how good they are.

What I like most from this new raid, however, isn't any of those things. I mean yeah, this has been yet another amazing week one raiding experience from The Division, and the LFG groups I found have (generally) been pretty cool people, especially compared to Destiny. And yeah all of those things are incredible and I'm so happy to finally have some actually challenging content that truly puts one's ability to work as a team to the test, but the best part about this raid is how it showcases The Division 2's build variety.

I mean, this raid actually needs healers. Good dedicated healers, not just someone who swaps to support station for the encounter. The raid needs good tanks, people who not only have the stats, but also the skill and focus to protect their teammates and tank damage exactly when it's needed. It needs solid DPS builds, but not just glass cannons (glass cannon is actually the worst perk for this raid and any raid/in-game activity) who mindlessly dump lead into the boss; DPS in this raid often is required to have several roles at once, not just melting down the boss. DPS often needs to be performing several functions in additon to add-clear, with a build that promises good damage AND survivability. And it needs a raid leader (which isn't really a build, I know), who isn't necessarily someone barking orders but just someone keeping the group focused, on track with each step of the encounter, and in good spirits and morale (I have joined and left many groups over the past 4 days, and the common thread of the unsuccessful groups was always a lack of focus and a lack of motivation to rinse-and-repeat certain steps several times in a row; a good leader helps enormously with that just by giving little progress checks and saying "good **** guys" every now and then).

So yeah, that's my feedback. I know the forums tend to be filled almost exclusively with people complaining about stuff, and people rarely come here simply to provide positive feedback. That tends to create a warped idea that everyone hates the game, which isn't true. Just wanted to let you all know at Ubi-Massive that you knocked it out of the park with this one.

(I didn't get a screenshot this time, but here's the patch for proof)
