I would like the moderators and Ubisoft community managers to consider that it is unreasonable for a professional gamer and streamer who has admitted to having broken the code of conduct and gaining an unfair advantage in the "World's First" to not be discussed in the forums, and with a lot of negative opinions on how appropriate that is, whether it should be tolerated, etc.
Of course they are going to be named and shamed. But there is documented proof in their own public posts on social media. Now,m whether those statements were true or not might be debatable, but the statements were made.
Professional streamers have made a very conscious decision to make themselves a public figure in the gaming world, and it is unreasonable for them to expect not to be talked about widely -- especially when engaging in behavior that any idiot should know is going to create backlash.
I'm just going to leave this here:Leaked Raid Docs

Anyhow, the reason given for closing the last thread was due to the trolling and flaming. I expect that will happen to this thread too given people's (IMO misplaced) loyalty to their fave streamers.Originally Posted by R1ngzer0

Massive is not helping their cause. There is so much ill will and trust with the development team given the rumors over the last few weeks. No one believes the random poster because Massive’s initial reaction is it couldn’t have come from them. So your link in my opinion doesn’t help as there is no evidence to back up the claims.Originally Posted by dagrommit Go to original post
The first thing they should have done this week on the SOTG was address the issue head on and change the tone of the “celebration”. Can you imagine if a sport related race was marked with potential cheating and they said nothing until the chat fills up with complaints. They waited too long to address it and it did not feel genuine. I have not believed some of the claims in the past of unfair bans but I don’t trust them anymore. It is unfortunate as I really enjoy the game but they need lessons in public relations.

The lore text was datamined from the game client and published months ago. It's not much of a stretch to being able to extract additional details such as precise cooldown timings.Originally Posted by CoOp_Gordon Go to original post
