Can we talk about the redundant amount of dialogue notifications from ISAAC & others?

Now, the feedback from ISAAC can be useful, but majority of the time it's excessively redundant. One of the benefits of having the dialogue active (especially in the DZ), is that ISAAC will inform you of nearby rouge players. This is helpful as you don't always notice the indicators. I enjoy playing with dialogue, but it's to point I can no longer tolerate it. The amount of useless feedback is really a turn-off. To give a few examples:

    1. "Immediate assistance needed"
    2. "Agent down"
    3. "Agent vital signs - zero"
    4. "Contaminated gear detected" or "Now detecting contaminated gear"
    5. "Safe area detected"
    6. "Entering/exiting invaded dark zone, safehouse, etc."
    7. "Friendly checkpoint nearby"
    8. "Now leaving friendly checkpoint"
    9. And much more...

Why are the phrases above annoying? I will tell you...

    1. Playing solo I do not need to hear each time I critically wound that I need assistance. This is also quite annoying while in groups too
    2. Again, while playing solo, I know that my agent is down. I'm the only player or nowhere near other players - This is redundant
    3. Yes, I know ISAAC. I'm dead while playing alone. I don't need you to tell me that
    4. I don't want to hear every time I play in the DZ that there is contaminated loot around or dropped - This is redundant. I can clearly see the loot!
5, 6, 7, & 8. I know, I know, I know when I'm leaving, entering or getting close to areas of interest. Please can we tone this down?
    9. There's definitely more dialogue that is heavily excessive in my opinion. Looking at you Manny - Don't care or want to hear each time Kenly College is available!

Honestly, is there anything you all at Massive can do to tone down the excessive notifications? I really like have the dialogue active, but man, the majority is useless or obvious information. Can we at least get some options to adjust the frequency of certain dialogues? I'm sure something like this or similar has been mentioned before. I really like for this to be on the developers radar as it can quickly become a real nuisance.

+1 - it also doesn't help that sometimes ISAC takes so long to tell you these things that it's already over before he's opened his cakehole. If I had a dollar for every time I've heard "An agent needs assistance" just as the agent in question is getting up from their Hive going off I'd have, er, some dollars. I also don't need to hear "Safe area entered" five seconds after I've fast travelled to the WH. Useless fckin watch indeed.

Dude! This is a good post! I agree with a lot of what you pointed out. I usually get irritated by the constant "specific name of an activity nearby" call out in the middle of taking over a Heroic level control point. It's like...ISACC!...I get it....there is a such and such nearby or civilians in distress.... but in case you haven't noticed...I'm kind of busy with something right now. Ha ha! I agree with ElBiggus' post too with the fact that ISACC always tell you something after the fact or after the event has already occurred. Thanks ISACC.....could have told you that five minutes ago....

There have been many posts about this in the past and I've even issued a support ticket for it. Nothing will change and you just need to turn all dialogs to 0 in settings. Done it a long time ago and can't say I actually miss those 'chats' that AI has, nor ISAC which was my main reason to silence them all. Guess someone at Massive or UbiSoft just likes to hear himself talking a lot, but it isn't helpful, only incredibly annoying hearing it for 1000th time.

Wtf!? Isac INFO it is a part of the gameplay. You are anoyed because you hear “Agent down” or other info that Isaac gives you? You have a problem. Is just a freaking game I don’t see the reason of this post. Get use to it dude, they will not change a thing because you are anoyed about this.

It's 99% not useful info, though. A friendly control point is nearby? You mean that one I literally just captured? Thanks, guy! I'm entering a safe area, huh? You mean the White House that I just fast travelled to and have been in thousands of times? Well thanks for telling me. Agent down? Well yes, I can see that -- the fact that I'm lying flat on the floor and there's a giant "Pick respawn point" message on the screen was my first clue. Contaminated loot detected, you say? Thanks, I wondered what all those bright yellow things were lying all over the area that just dropped from the NPCs I killed, I might not have realised had you not said anything. I am now in a group? Ah, so that's what happens if I pick "Join group"...

The trouble is that because we're constantly bombarded with useless and unhelpful nonsense from him, anything he does say that might actually be helpful gets lost because I've tuned him out.

Seriously, get a grip of yourself. You're apart of the problem and you're post does not contribute in anyway. Instead of berating people, how about you offer some alternatives or solutions on the subject at hand? The attitude of your post is such a child-like one.

I posted this in hopes of bringing more attention about the dialogue in the game. Yes, I'm well aware that it can be adjusted it in the settings (which I currently have at 0). The thing is the game has some interesting dialogue from the NPCs and it is helpful at times like I mentioned in my original post. I just find it a shame that you can't fully enjoy it because how annoying it can become. Like most players, I also enjoy an the immersive experience of the game, but that's lost when you mute the game of its dialogue.

Will the developers change it? Maybe...but you'll never know until you speak up and bring more attention about something that is seen as problematic.
