tanks should be able to draw aggro

I always here massive talking about using tanks and healers along with dps, but tanks in this game have no way to draw aggro making them useless. My suggestion is to make it so when a player pops a shield instead of just having a lot of armor and trying to stand between dps and npcs make it so npcs reguard shields as a higher threat than dps allowing a person/tank to draw agro away from dps players and finally giving you the mechanics you talk about tank/healer/dps

This I really would like to have.

Tanks in Div1 worked better as Tanks because they actually drew a lot of aggro.
Apparently shield so have some aggro in Div2 because the enemies near you do star screaming about how "the agent has a shield" etc. and what not...but it doesn't seem to draw enough aggro.
You can draw gather more aggro by attacking the enemies, but the red builds have so much more fire power compared to the usual tanky shield builds that it makes it really hard for the tanks to keep gathering aggro on them...

Since stacking up armor tier right now doesn't really do much compared to reds and yellows, why not give us additional aggro + more protection from enemies / hazards by staking up armor tiers?

Well the decoy skill has an aggro stat so it should be possible when you pull the shield out, heck even make part of some talents like pointman. Another small suggestion is simply that if you melee with your shield you also taunt nearby enemies to draw aggro

I don't know why they didn't have increased threat on shields from the start. In division 1 popping a shield gave you a 200% threat increase. The entire purpose of a tank build is to take the aggro off of the other players in your team, so they can do more damage with less risk. So many great mechanics from division 1 failed to make it into this game, it's dissapointing to say the least.

I agree with this 100%. Then me, as a DPS player, can actually pop my head up and shoot the things.
