Action doesn't stop while in menu/crafting or using map! That's great, but...

I love the idea that action doesn't stop now while using map, crafting or being in inventory, but two things we may need now:

    - real pause for the game, if leaving it for drink, wee, or so

    - semi transparent background so we can still see what's happening. I was just intercepting the base with alarmed enemies and while I was looking on the map Wolf almost killed me, it wast just a bit of luck I've heard him, turned off the map and shot him. If menu was semi transparent or maybe just it was leaving 2/3 of the top screen view open with an option to unfold for full screen, that would be perfect - so 2/3 of screen is still what's happening around while 1/3 of menu/map with an option to unfold for full screen.

I don't know, maybe folks on forum would have better ideas how to make it? Any ideas?

Non-stop action makes it more immersive and much more demanding, while we can no more stop the game to craft unlimited good wile enemy does nothing
    I love the idea.

Thank you for all great job you do!

Some kind of solution was in Metro Exodus, where looking on the map was a part of the game while world was seen around all the time.

Crafting menu was kind of the same thing. Weapon and stats are on screen, but world is seen around as action still goes.

Maybe this kind of implementation would help?

Another nice example of transparent menu while the game is on the go:

I haven't played Breakpoint for months, so hearing you can no longer pause the game during solo play is news to me. I quite like the idea for maintaining immersion, but I agree there should be a way to pause the game if we have to take a quick break.

It was just for a few hours the other day, so I don't know if it was a bug or UbiSoft was testing new features maybe...

It's long gone. It was for a very short time. I noticed when I opened the map while flying the chopper full gas and the chopper was still moving on the map and all the sounds were going on too. I had quite a fun attacking the base, since I couldn't anymore craft or change weapons/grenades, whatever as long as I wanted - enemy was all the time moving. Once I opened a map and heard Wolf talking close when I closed the map he was just next to me - almost taking me down. It was fun.

I hope Ubi would implement this feature + transparent menus. This makes gaming much more intense.
I've noticed all thing mostly because I put a request/asked to make things this way - when I saw it - I thought the idea is work in progress. But it's long gone now, so maybe would go full speed with next update. Fingers crossed
