A long time, if there is any fix coming at all. They probably need to rework their loot generation algorithm, and ensure the results meet whatever metrics they're using. That includes ensuring there is differentiation between the different difficulty levels, gear scores/player levels and loot sources. They'll also want to try and balance long-term player engagement. Hand out god rolls too frequently or slowly and people will quickly complain about how the loot is unrewarding again.Originally Posted by bustedspyke Go to original post
dudes , loose the ilusion that there is anything to fix in their POV, you are only fooling yourself, cant you see the signs ?
this is how they want the game , nothing less nothing more, all you hear will be the usual we know and we are discussing it too and only because its either that , telling you the truth or silence, nothing else will happen.
Don't be ridiculous. Hotfixes in these situations take hours or a few days at most. Nobody is asking for a full rewrite. Massive is simply being Massive. Ambitious, but rubbish. The whole Div2 is going downhill ever since the TU8 arrived. Just stay away from this trainwreck of a game if you want to keep you sanity.Originally Posted by dagrommit Go to original post
Um, yes, people are. Rainbow loot and attributes or talents that don't make sense (e.g. mag size on a shotgun) are the result of an algorithm that doesn't have any restriction on what gets rolled where.Originally Posted by poki.plex Go to original post
Thats the thing, for some, the metrics they are using are probably meeting the results they are expecting.Originally Posted by dagrommit Go to original post
I get a lot of rainbow and a lot of stuff I am not looking for, but I seem to mostly find what I am looking for in a time frame that I feel is not unreasonable.
I know thats not the case for others but I can not be the only one.
So if Massive runs a test internally, they are probably seeing that x build "should" be achievable in x hours, which is what they are aiming for. Unfortunately, for some reason, that doesnt seem to be what everyone is experiencing.
The problem is everyone has a different expectation of what a reasonable timeframe is and how many pieces you are expected to trash before finding something usable. Even what is usable differs vastly between people.
