    Loot talk post update

Personally, I don't think there is much problem with drop rates and stats. I don't have high expectations, knowing how these itemization systems work and how it does go against you as you gear up with RNG.

However, I do find the following issues a little annoying since update.

    - A lot of new items were added, but none were removed. For me, this means more items in the loot pool, less likely to find the items I'm after. A big example is the set gear. Every day, there is basically one mission or area for set gear. If I am looking for striker's for example, now there are many more set items, making my targeted farming a far lower probability in finding what I want. (Not the stat quality but the set piece itself)

    - For some reason, I never end up spending much time in New York and not very interested in their items. Now that they are in DC as well, I found the target loot allocations very much lacklaster at the key locations I like to farm. Again, it feels like having more items/gear in rotation means that the stuff I like to farm will come less at the locations I like.

Let me give you an example.

Person A is looking for a providence mask. He farms providence mission.

Person B is looking for a striker's set gear backpack. He farms set gear mission.

Can you feel the inconsistency in the target farming?

I really think that as you add more gear, you should also remove some gear. They become legacy.

I think that the target loot farming is very difficult to balance and it also raises a lot of expectations for players, who are likely to be very angry for not finding stuff in their "target loot farming". Of course the forums will be full of complaints. Same for recalibration - most people don't see the item for potential after recalibration, they see the rainbow colours when the item dropped - again gives the players the feeling that what they have in front of them is absolute trash, actually when it is perfectly usable after recalibration. You should play the positive side of the perception game.

Target looting is ****e Did 10 runs on challenging at the American history museum this morning "Target loot Assault rifles" total assault rifles was 11 not one even upto 50% 19 rifle all under 50% and 27 gear and mod parts all again well under 50%

Not loading game no more till there is a vast improvement. Sad really as liked the game a lot but has become a never ending chore now Not fun anymore, stuck with it all this time hoping they would sort but also fed up now of the promises, lies and deceit.

Well.. Missions are generally quite bad for efficiency.

I reckon they should have 50+ percent XP, and double the number of named elites to make it worthwhile and comparable to CPs. Double XP for legendaries too.

Why do people only really grind lincoln memorial?

No kidding. It means the same for everyone else too. Funny how that works.

same for recalibration - most people don't see the item for potential after recalibration, they see the rainbow colours when the item dropped - again gives the players the feeling that what they have in front of them is absolute trash, actually when it is perfectly usable after recalibration.

LOL... Yeah, because you’re the only person who thinks about what roll you can change when you look at an item. Who else would have even thought of it? You’re a genius!

Well, you may think all potential possibilities are instantly obvious as you flick through before holding your Z button - well done to you Sherlock - but I have seen plenty of people who don't even bother re-calibrating items.

IN missions, they need to make it absolutely fking RAIN loot. Since they are sooooo damn dead set on this game just being Division 2: Slot Machine Royale, then they need to make it rain loot.

We go into a targeted area, every, single, muh'fukin' enemy should drop a piece of targeted loot. Every single NAMED boss should drop no less than 5 pieces of targeted loot. Crates and caches around the world should all have at least 3 pieces of targered loot in them(And YES they should be of equal quality to ANYTHING else). I dont give a **** if you 'didnt fight for the loot'. No, but you took the time to go find it. Why shouldnt it ALSO have good, useable loot? If they are going to make chests useless, then quit beating around the bush and just remove the ******* caches......id rather there be 0 caches, so we dont waste our time looking for them.

And every SHD tech point should give a cache that also has 3 pieces of loot with the 50% chance of having 6. Yes, that is every 700,000XP, you get the chance for 6 pieces of loot, and when you get the cache, it takes into account the targeted loot in the area and that is what it has the highest chance of dropping.

From there, enemies drop +1 piece of loot for every level of difficulty. So if your on Heroic, every enemy should drop 1 piece of gear+4, 1 each for Normal, Hard, Challenging and Heroic. So, yes, that means a boss on Heroic should drop 9 ******* pieces of loot. Your Cache should come with the potential for 10 pieces of loot.

If they are so intent on keeping loot garbage, then let it drop so we get more chances to play this stupid *** loot lottery....

    I'm against removing anything.

The items should be streamlined - but not "removed". It's hard enough to deal with the permanent nerfs and buffs. Apart from that, Gear 2.0 already changed a lot! If Massive starts to remove ingame-content, I'm done with them.

Yet Player A and Player B, could still farm and never see what they are seeking. Even in a targeted area, you can farm for days and barely see any of the "targeted loot" you are even looking for. Being a targeted loot, you should be seeing actual "targeted" loot even in a pool that is flooded with all loot options.

Nothing really changed for a person who has played from the beginning of New York and has decent gear.there is just less loot
On the low end the stats were boosted and it is better for new players.
The game is also much easier than before the update Heroic feels like Challenging there are less Elites spawning so there is also less loot in the battles..

For me its just easier no change.
