Trash heroic loot: seriously starting to think my installation is buggy

I'm honestly very, very surprised when I see people claiming they are happy and have seen a difference with the loot quality in TU10. For me, after at least 600-800 items (all on heroic and legendaries) from CPs, open world activities, missions, elite patrols and territory controls, bounties, open world bosses etc, I'm VERY disappointed with what I'm getting.

Almost all items have attributes that are between 50-60% and rainbow. Only about 1 in 15 items becomes somewhat usable after reconfig. For example last week I was with a group from my clan doing various open world stuff for hours (always heroic and one or two legendaries) and there were many times I was only inspecting but not even picking up items to break them down for resources or for selling. That's how frustrating the situation was. And that's not anywhere near what the so widely promised and hyped TU10 "generosity" content should have been.

As per the thread title, I'm seriously starting to consider something is wrong with my installation, but I don't have the patience to uninstall everything, redownload it and reinstall. Half-baked solutions like deleting some folders/setting files etc would also not work for me.

I realise the major reason for not increasing the average attribute scores of the loot is probably that once players get what they need, the devs think players will leave the game since there will not be anything particular to grind for. But they certainly don't seem to be really, seriously taking into account the frustration coming from the current crap loot quality, which of course is an even more urgent and important reason for driving players away. And they don't seem to understand that a happy player who gets the loot he/she needs is more likely to stay in the game since it will be by far more enjoyable.

I guess the above is added to the other threads complaining about the loot quality, but I would be interested to know what you guys think.

Loot is decided server side, it has nothing to do with your client.

Personally i think the loot is much better then it was in tu9. In tu9 every box in heroic missions 99% of the time was purple. In tu10 its 99% yellow now.

Everyday that i play i get between 2 and 5 god rolled gear. A few days ago i go to pairs of foxs prayer kneepads god rolled.

Granted, some of these pieces do have red, yellow and blue on them, but they are attributes that can be rolled.

I could say that almost everything i pick up is trash, but that is because the only items i keep anymore are god rolled.

I dont know if you have more then 1 character, but i have noticed that if 1 of my characters is getting bad loot drops i play another one and the drops get better.

They are never going to get loot to a point where everyone is happy. It just wont happen

Well, since TU10, my loot drops are WAY more better, even if stats aren't what 'im looking for (Skills stats on Providence doesn't help lol).

Dropped 2 exotics (one in Challenging, one in Legendary), and more good roll items that i've seen since ages.

But more peeps think wrong stats means trash loot, which is truly misreading...

This is just an example of loot obtained from heroic Lincoln's three bosses (two runs, exactly same quality of loot):

And no, I am not cherry picking examples to make a point. Out of all items obtained today (& generally since the introduction of TU10), 98% were like this. Including two legendary missions where the scores were marginally better (3 in 10 had one score between 70-100% and the rest of the attributes were around 65% but the items were completely unusable, mostly rainbow with no particular application). So other than the occasional challenge, in my own experience there is no doubt whatsoever that heroic and legendary do not offer anything near the loot rewards that they should. Same impressions with the two groups that we finished the legendaries.

Did a lengendary today DUA got 3 god rolled items. Ive gotten more god rolled item this week then i did 2 weeks after season 1 came out.

Not every item you get is going to be awesome. The sooner you realize that , the sooner these treads can stop.

I get the same items that you showed in your picture. Only difference is i junk them or sell them. I dont make a thread complaining about loot.

Loot is better now then what it use to be.

Just curious, are the loadouts that your using have gear that attributes are 80% or higher? If so, finding loot that is better is going to take time. Your not gonna get all in one day. It took me weeks to get a piece of gear that was slighly better then what i was using. Thats just the way it was back then. Even with my builds having 95% or higher attributes on them i am still finding better now theen i have before.

I think that at level 648 I have a pretty good understanding that "not every item I get is going to be awesome". What I am asking is to be able to get at least 2-3 usable items from a day of grinding aimed at areas of targeted loot and at spots with the highest chances of good loot drops like legendaries and Lincoln. And no, these items are not to improve my main build which is optimised with attributes in the 80-100s. These are to try new ones, and to find marginally better items than the 50-60% ones that I am using for builds I am working on for weeks.

just curious, why would you want "threads like these to stop"? If you really think that in a similar fashion to so many people here and elsewhere, I made this thread just to complain about junk items like these as isolated cases instead of a general and obvious trend over the hundreds of items that I have seen in nearly two weeks of TU10, you are completely missing the point. And perhaps deliberately without being open to the possibility there is something going on that is in complete contrast to your own experience.

The problem was and since 8.5 has always been about rainbow loot, this was raised after 8,5 and Massive said it was unintended and would fix it it 9.5 and yet here we are TU10 and it still isnt fixed, it was raised multiple times in PTS and was never responded to by staff, again this seems to be about slowing power creep more than anything, otherwise it would have been sorted at 9.5.

The only new content is the RAID and with nothing new in short term the last thing they want is OP players complaint things a re too easy again, because they have not built a system that allows for players to select increasing difficulty that scales above certain levels. (Unlike Diablo with The Greater rift challenges were you set the difficulty to make it extremely challenging if you wanted it)

So the only choice Massive has is to stop or significantly slow power creep by making 99% of the gear useless?
