Alrite... it's getting out of control for real. Doesn't matter anymore where i'll play, usa, europe, asia... in almost all servers, there will be lag switchers, people hidding in wall (why???) This is on ps4.
Before you come to me and says... oh maybe it's just lag... No it's not. I am almost at 5k hours, i can see from miles away who does the lag switch, they don't even hide it anyway, 'em gotta emotes and call you trash can lol.
What can we do? contacting ubisoft? I sent over 10 cases of lag switchers... since 3 years... they are still playing, they never got a ban.
Should we contact Sony Playstation?
Should i contact a lawyer lol?
It is impossible to tell the difference between standard lag from lag switching from a non-gameplay(i.e. technical) point of view, which is the one that matters for corporates' legal compliance to remove a customer from a service they paid for, so banning lag switchers is a good way to get a company sued if the cheater knows his game. You can send as many gameplay footage of yours to Ubisoft and Sony, and they cannot really do a thing for you since CS normally won't bother with the complication of legal compliance.
Division 1 runs on a very poor engine from an anti-cheat point of view, when even the original Unreal Tournament 1999 back then does not carry such vulnerability in online bullet hit registration(I was baffled when I first knew this is a thing, when online games 10+ years ago I played cannot ever cheat that way). That is the fault of the game itself and frankly, the reality of the game that you loved. Not to mention, Division 1 is EoL with only basic maintenance support just to keep the servers running. I have to be honest, as lovely as Division 1 is, it is time to move on to other games or activities if these things really annoy you that much.
Na. With my 5k hours into this game, i can tell you who lag switch or not.Originally Posted by CCloak Go to original post

Most games just drop you if you lag too much. The Division's netcode is written in a way that even people with slow internet can play. That was an admirable idea, but because of that choice, it is now a cheating method used by d-bags in PvP arenas. The person using the lag switch will move sporadically around, but yet to them, they can see you where you are so they have an extremely unfair advantage. The DZ seems to bring out the worst in certain types of people who like to ruin other peoples' fun. I mean, how 'awesome' can you be if you have to resort to this tactic to win. I hope you are truly curious and not interested in using it. It is handy to know it when you see it. I don't go to the DZ anymore but when I did, if I encountered it several times within a short period, I would switch servers and/or go run other content.Originally Posted by permanaj Go to original post
