I'm a cloud software architect so I know the agile environment and it's politics.
With that being said, I will say this. You Dev Leadership is incompetent. I'm not going to blame the devs who are just doing what's on their scrum plate, who've also probably given up on speaking logic to management because they want to keep their jobs.
1. The current loot crisis should have been treated with a war room followed by a hot fix after 200+ customers reported a problem by day two. It should have been hot fixed. Leadership Fail.
2. The Exotic weapons in this game are a brutal and tedious grind with absolutely zero reward because 99% of them are absolute trash. Your Leadership decided to ignore this issue. You've ignored your stakeholders on this issue. Leadership Fail.
3. Bugs are bugs, that's fine but it's extremely obvious that your dev team has no way of labeling impact levels, prioritizing impacts, nor delivering quick fix results to game impacting issues. Leadership fail.
4. Freestyle Nerfing, freestyle buffing, and accidentally breaking basically everything in the game shows that your Dev team doesn't have a solid architectural plan or that your architect is doing too much Dev work to actually architect. Leadership Fail.
5. It's a great game, it could easily be much much better. But you guys seem to have made a concrete decision to put a leash on the players potential because you have some grand and foolish conception that if you keep us on a leash (Loot nerfs, under powered exotics, nerfing the fun, etc.) that we'll continue to thirst for more power and thus, keep logging in. Well I'm here to tell you that's not the case lol... #LeadershipFail (probably upper leadership).
The goal for games is to have fun. It's extremely obvious that behind the scenes, you guys are a corporate gaming company, not a gamers gaming company. Money is your goal, not delivering an amazing experience to your gamer audience.
What bothers me the most is, you could quickly and easily change like 10 things in this game that would 1000% increase every DV2 customer's happiness but you refuse to do so because you're stuck on a "Let's keep them on a leash" philosophy; when you 100% should be in a "How can we make our gamers love this game more" philosophy. And because of that, #LeadershipFail.
The End
I will ask where you work any bugs in your system currently? Are their issues that pop up when new code is pushed out? Does your dev team fix it as soon as it found?
Same field here. Corp and Gaming.
Fixing certain bugs (in a game especially) does take time and can be pain staking. Especially with Xbox and their horrible testing standards before a patch can be released.
I do agree there are some highly out standing bugs that should have been fixed. Every game has issue when patches, new releases, updates are pushed out. In my 25 years in this field I have not seen one game that was bug/problem free 100%. **** happens.
As for exotics the drop rates are fine. Don't need them raining like water to a point of "ehh another exotic".
Someone ought Nerf their management right out the f.....g businessOriginally Posted by xXThEoLdGoAtXx. Go to original post
Disgraceful how this game has been managed since release but more so since Wony launch
If i cocked up my job like these guys have or even lied like they have, I and anyone else would have been sacked/dismissed

They also manage to get an update/fix out pretty quick if some helps the player, Its all about priorities anything that stops us having fun is addressed fast but anything that effects players negatively ...well then its put on the back burner.
Take for example every friday there is an addition to the thread about disconnections this thread has been ongoing for months now but Ubi useless think that by telling us every friday "its being addressed" Well they think that covers them well hey it doesnt the fact its been an issue for months and months just shows they dont care
Just look at the speed in which they addressed the bug in season 2 pass, Hey they were on the ball there wasnt they
I'm 99% sure grenade launcher got a nasty stealth nerf. It almost does zero damage now....Originally Posted by GTP_Monkey Go to original post
The only way to keep people playing is if they mess with our builds, they made a mistake making the missions so much longer then Div1 so people don't have the energy to run them over and over again. After ll yesterday I finished a project running everything in Jur District only to unlock the arena, so today I log in and the new project is running everything in the Jur district again? I just logged out.
Love your obvious ITIL based thinking, something Ubi might never heard ofOriginally Posted by KodoFett Go to original post
