    Legendary - too hard, Heroic - too easy, time for an extra difficulty?

    I think we can all agree that at this point the Heroic difficulty is too easy for the average watch level 500+ player. 3 good DPS and one Eclipse status build melt through those missions like a hot knife through butter (and other build combinations as well). Now please don't offer me the directives because they all suck one way or another and I am not even going into that now.
    The legendary missions, on the contrary and despite what some self-appointed hardcore players say, are quite punishing if you are not cheesing left and right, like 99% of the players do. But then cheesing is not fun.
    I totally feel in need of an intermediate difficulty say 5% easier than legendary and with all the checkpoints of heroic. What do you think, agents?

    I've always thought that there should be a "50%" universal directive. This would be a half-way house between all difficulty levels to ease players from one level up to the next. Maybe not for the first few levels, but definitely to fill the gap between Challenge and Heroic and between Heroic and Legendary.

    I think perhaps some new Directives are needed with effects that don't change the core gameplay, and instead more directly affect difficulty. Stuff like "10% more enemies", "all enemies are Veteran or Elite", "2x as many Heavies", etc. would make Heroic harder without any of the associated annoyances.

    Urgh i cant stand the legendaries there just cheese play.
    I do 1 or 2 a week if there is something very targeted that i want if not gee why bother lol
    Playing a mission where you cant actually play the game design character and skills and you have to cheese to win is meh. Its like the fun factor is out the window.

    This! There are too many difficulty levels already. The devs are already having trouble to properly manage this so I don't think adding even more will make that any easier. I'd go as far as saying they should remove one or two. And then add a few directives.

    as far as I am concerned the challenging, hard and normal difficulties could be removed altogether, they are for the sub-100 hours players. Once you are shade level 125 the only fitting difficulty for you is heroic and then a few hundred hours in more it becomes way too easy so you're left with Legendary which is so punishing it's not even funny, and nothing to fill the void between Legendary and Heroic.

    Time for a new difficulty? NO.

    Time for Ubi to get thier heads out and properly balance the different difficulties? Absolutely.

    Its kind of weird the way this game works now. Story, Normal and hard are basically roll your cat across the keyboard easy. Challenging is only 1 step above that, then Heroic is all of a sudden, super soldiers and never mind legendary.

    The difficulty spike is like on a scale of 1-10, Story normal and hard are a 2, Challenging is a 5 then Heroic is a 10 and Legendary is a 20. Though its almost entirely simply due to how much damage and health the AI get.

    Ubi needs to lower damage and health of AI, but return yellow bars to challenging, toughen up red and purple bars in all the modes and give the AI their brains back. Make them kind of on par with us in terms of power, but make them smart again.

    Right now the AI do ALOT of running around and hiding, and not alot of shooting back. I have seen named guys just run off and hide, and then run around like a headless chicken and either do nothing, or just 1 shot players at random....its really quite goofy. AI dont flank anymore either....or, not nearly as much as they did.

    And I know its tin foil hat time, cuz Challenging all of a sudden feels ALOT easier. Like AI do alot less damage......I was running DARPA just a bit ago and the damage I took was markedly lower than before. IDK what that was about. It felt different to be sure.

    yeah i can just basically run through heroic now and totally get fukced in heroic
    there is such a big gap, its not even funny
