....please look at armor regen and foundry bulwark. I’ve been going on tears stacking these together. I’ve consistently been 1 v 5ing groups and clapping cheeks.
First it’s so counter intuitive for a player to shoot at another and basically give him 20% heals while also doing damage.
Second armor regen is a great stat, if there also weren’t perks that let me stack six blues and still dish out tons of damage.
If I stack 6 blues there should be some drawbacks to my damage output. It’s only going to get worse as I’m sure there are quite a few YouTube videos out now showing how to abuse it.
You as a developer should know something is up when everyone on PTS was abusing this and not trying to make any other test builds. At the very least you should have gave another week so the new balance changes on that set could have been tested.
Please for the sake of PvP health don’t ignore this stat as well as the gearset.
Can't tell if serious, but I've gone for 4 Foundry, and can't remember which brands of backpack and chest but they have Intimidate and Adrenaline Rush, plus Bulwark Ballistic Shield, Repair Drone, and Liberty (plus Manic and Baker's Dozen, but they're there for show not for using.). All blue apart from a solitary yellow (which is repair skill, so it may as well be incoming repairs). Not sure of the exact PvP damage (the "show PvP stats" thing in your inventory is broken, and other than a quick "yeah, this feels broken" run into the DZ I've not actually used it for PvP), but in PvE I can consistently hit for 900K+ -- it's an unreasonable amount of damage for a pure blue build, and given how quickly armour regenerates I could lose a few blues and add some CHC/CHD without too much risk.Originally Posted by Sircowdog1 Go to original post
Here's a typical end of mission summary -- I was running all blues. I'm not complaining (it's fun!), but I do think this probably wasn't intended.
(Note: the Revives are me reviving other people -- you can do it with the shield deployed so the tank doubles up as a reasonable emergency medic!)
OP Defensive shield with tons of damage?
Yeah, nerf the damn damage it can get. Make it like Div 1, can only be used with Pistols and SMGs. Then it will go back to being a close range brawling set with high durability.
I say damage overall needs a nerf, its really getting stupid how much damage we do. THough id say the nerfs need to go all around. Reduce our max dmg roll on armor from 15% to 10%, cap CHD to 125%, nerf the hell out of enemy health and damage, about 35-40% id say is a good start. Nerf things like Glass cannon and all those damage abilities that let us stack damage to stupid levels. Then for the shield ****ter mods, remove those +1% dmg mods, cuz this is a defensive build, its not for offense. Then so it doesnt become completely easy, return the damn Yellow bars to Challenging missions, buff up red and purple bar enemies maybe 10% and see where we are.
The problem is the poor balance on Ubis part. Enemies are tough and do alot of damage, so they jack up our damage. Now the enemies die super fast so they jack up the enemy health and damage. So now were back to square one. So they buff damage again to compensate. So now all this time later, we've got builds that can deal millions of damage a shot, enemies who deal millions of damage a shot, enemies who have ******* TRILLIONS of hit points and now they come out with a defensive build in the current state of stupid *** high damage output. Then let us combine stupid *** high damage output on a highly defensive build....derp.
This game needs to make damage not the end all be all king of the game. Make rolling insane amounts of damage alot less of a 'best in slot' type of deal. Make it to where, you dont feel horribly gimped if you roll all blue and armor regen, over crit and crit dmg.
That doesn't sound broken. It sounds effective. And blue builds are something this game sorely needs.
Let me ask you this: How does your build fare when solo? Seems like you'd get flanked and destroyed in a hurry if you tried to rush in to take advantage of that talent combo.
I caution against leaping to the conclusion that something is too strong if your frame of reference is always a group.
Or PvP experience.Originally Posted by Sircowdog1 Go to original post
Whenever the devs nerf or buff never it'll be ok for players. We, players need to adapt to changes. It's impossible to please all. This build is very funny to use. They nerfed already a lot since PTS 1. if they nerf it to much is one more build to trash. They can't put LZ and DZ(pvp) in the same bag. If they want to nerf the pvp that's ok but let the pve alone.
Not my best run -- I didn't have my glasses on and I was trying to eat pizza while I played -- but even when I'm not paying attention it works just fine; solo there are far fewer enemies so there's much less risk of getting flanked, but even when it does happen it's more of an annoyance than a real problem. If I remember (and if you care) I'll capture some footage in a group later so you can see what happens when you do get surrounded on all sides by a bunch of NPCs. (But in case I don't, here's a spoiler: not much happens, really.)Originally Posted by Sircowdog1 Go to original post
I've not tested it much myself but there seems to be a consensus that it's broken in the DZ too, and based on a quick five minute dip in there I'm inclined to agree although I don't have much of a frame of reference -- PvP isn't my thing at all, and I avoid it whenever possible.Originally Posted by DuRkaMore34 Go to original post
