Hi guys, wondering if someone can help me because I am out of ideas. Just reinstalled this game intending to play coop with a few friends. I played the game solo a couple of years ago and it worked fine.
Unfortunately, I load up the game, get to the main menu, click to start a new game, the loading screen appears but after a while the loading bar stops moving. The audio continues to play but the game does not load. Left it for 10 minutes and had no luck. According to task manager the game is still running.
Fixes I have tried: Restarting the game and PC, Tried multiple modes in game, all have the same issue, Reinstalling the game, Verifying the game files, Reinstalling uplay, Disabling all game overlays, Disabling nvidia gpu settings on nvidia control panel, Placing uplay and wildlands in the same drive location, Disabling antivirus, Updating all drivers, Running as admin, Running the exe file,
Would appreciate any suggestions that might fix the issue192.168.0.1 routerlogin 192.168.l.l
Shot in the dark - rename the Uplay cache folder (should be under Ubisoft game launcher folder) - basically delete the cache folder as far as Uplay is concerned.
Of course if you've re-installled Uplay, the cache should already be "clean".
Have you looked under the Player Support forums for the subject of the game won't load? It's an issue which has been brought up previously.
Good luck.
- change CPU affinity (sometimes certain CPU cores develop an allergic reaction to games). This is a temporary solution and only works if the game can start, but has issues loading up and needs to be redone each time the game is started if it helps
- installing uPlay and Wildlands on a system drive, SSD if possible
- unplugging a controller (if any), eye tracking software, etc, basically anything other than keyboard and mouse
- disable cloud save synchronization (make save backup first) to exclude networking issue/conflict, or start uPlay and Wildlands in offline mode
- adding entire game directory to exclusion list in windows defender
- installing/reinstalling EAC (Easy Anti Cheat) certificate. Windows updates sometimes break more than they fix. Stuff like this is often collateral damage.
- rolling back display drivers. Newer isn't always better.
- repairing visual c++ redistributables. Only do this if you have problems loading other games or apps.
- temporarily uninstalling/relocating other uplay games, leaving only Wildlands
- any RGB software installed? These are known to cause issues
Out of ideas for now, hope this helps. Good luck!
Uplay is really just another layer of annoyances of all Ubi turds but, I'm sure they are proud of it. I have had to uninstall/install more times than I wish to count or care trying to get a game to fire up and I don't even need to have it because my games are either from Steam or Epic.
This would be a good topic of conversation but at the end, it would be a failed outcome anyways because they will just do nothing about it.
