So, the cat's hamster's out of the bag! Chaos mode is almost here. You'll soon find out that Professor Chaos has conquered Don King Butters and has taken over the weekly event known as "Challenge" mode. Going forward, this will be known as "Chaos" Mode. It's not just a name change though, there are some cool things coming, so let's jump right into those!
CHAOS MODE
The overall "run" is the same- 3 losses and you're out, with a total of 12 wins possible. The first run is still free, with subsequent runs costing 50 Cartman Cash.
You'll now always walk away with a loot pack, even if you don't win any matches. You'll also only open one pack, which will be available once you finish your run, no more opening 12 'small' packs every time, you'll open on 'big' pack at the end. Total rewards scale up depending on the number of wins you get, of course. You'll also get an epic card guaranteed at 6 and 12 wins. So for a 12 win run, you'll get 2 epics every time.
The above image is an example of what you can expect from a full, 12-win run.
There's also another, highly requested change to the card levels. They will now always be set to the Friendly Fight level, no matter what the level of your own card is. This allows you to use a brand new card, without needing to get it to a certain level.
So, the set card levels for all players:
- Commons- 4
- Rares- 3
- Epics- 2
- Legendaries - 1
This change also ensures that matches in Chaos mode are even and fair between both players, which allows us to also expand the matchmaking pools, allowing you to match with more overall players. This should not only improve the matchmaking times but also increases the odds that you'll play against a variety of different opponents!
We've also added a new filter system to the existing Deckbuilder. In this version, you'll be able to use it to filter cards that are used in:
- Events
- Chaos Mode
- Team Wars
This will allow you to easily see which cards are being affected by rules (or used in the week's events), so you can easily add them to your deck, without having to remember the whole list of cards or go back to the event screen to check!
The changes are coming in the update, next week, however, there will not be a Chaos mode event next week, as all players will need to update the game in order for the changes to be implemented on the server.
So, the next CHALLENGE CHAOS MODE will start Wednesday, July 1st!
Keep your eyes peeled for more info about the 4.7.0 update coming next week!
That's all I've got for now! Until next time, I'll see you on the streets of South Park!

Does "expanding the matchmaking pool" mean that PVP rank will not be considered at all? Or just that it will be somewhat broader than PVP? Using PVP rank in challenge mode, at all, is what broke it in the first place. Now that you're equally leveling all cards for all players there is NO reason to use it as a factor in matchmaking, at all. Can you clarify whether this is the case, and if it is, why?
Are we now allowed to match with anybody in the game or is CHALLENGE mode still based on pvp ELO ranking since no other game does it this way. Nobody ever complained about Challenge mode and it was something to look forward to every week so why do you feel the need to completely break certain parts of the game instead of actually fixing the plethora of bugs that actually need fixing?
It's the exact same **** we had before they broke the game for months and made it unplayable except instead of getting 12 packs now you only get one lmao! And if they base it on ELO the game will still continue to be a broken mess further promoting deranking. Taking months to fix a major issue like this in the game is not acceptable.Originally Posted by ScottOld Go to original post
