still dumb tho.
Just two things:
1. The centurion rework is one of the bests, he looks like one of the best designed fighters now- dynamic to fight as and against, not too strong defensively. The problem is not the quality, the problem is the time it took for them to fix this. My memories yellowed a bit since August about this, but I am pretty sure many of you guys here actually tested the Centurion in TG, identified his problems, and made valid points to fix them. It took them 10 months, and the character left to be unplayable for that time. 10 months is a ******g eternity for a gamer, with thousands of options to choose from, and well balanced fighters are the only things a fighting game may offer to people. Having a character useless for years is unaccaptable.
2. Lawbringer is not nerfed hard enough, he shouldn't be able to punish and stall this hard. Jormungandr feats were not touched, but his remaining glimpse of viability for 1v1 is gone. Hitokiri nerfs seem to be unnecessary, and they really force everyone to use nothing but the 50/50. I might understand the general hyperarmor nerfs (because yeah, they could be irritating), but taking away something from a weak character without at least giving minimal compensation is wrong (for example, how hard it would be to adress Shugoki's recovery from missed hugs?). The nuxia feat changes are... well, is there anyone here actually playing Nuxia? They should instead find out what is the reason nobody picks her (despite her having multiple unique feats and a mech completely unique for her). The balance changes were really bad this season, and I don't care it is preparation for the TG.
I don't know what is missing- dedication, creativity, drive, or competence. I just know it is missing hard.
Because her deflect is poop and gets blocked. Then her traps are pretty much a meme.Originally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post
Gotta say I'm a tad confused on why they are so reluctant to properly address Lawbringer. The dude's kit at this point literally contains a laundry list of attributes now nerfed/gutted from other heroes kits deemed "unhealthy for the game" but it is somehow okay for this crap to all be present on one character. He has Raider's flash stuns, Hito's HA on red (shove on red), drains more stamina than Jorm. Add on to this 400ms top light, enhanced side lights, a CC gank tool, a ledging/wallspat tool, unblockable pressure...
It actually seems really strange after all this time how they just will not address Lawbringer in any significant way but have no problem doing so across the rest of the roster. Strange indeed... where's my tinfoil hat?

I predict Nuxia will actually be the first wu-lin hero to sky rocket into meta play since JJ launched and had busted feats come August 6th. Her traps are proper unreactable with the core fight changes. And she has a handful of moves that prevent you from simply dodging after being hit by said attack. (dodge attacks, parry counter, and deflect iirc might be forgetting some.) She already has a strong feat and being able to trap 2 of the 3 guard directions with proper positioning is nice.Originally Posted by FuncK_D Go to original post
As for the LB situation I think they're maybe trying to avoid killing any one kit off in one attempt of changes. It's cool that you pointed out that though. Most people don't realize that LB technically has a lot of things people complained about in other kits. I often attribute this to just good old fashion bias. People are rarely okay with workable offense. But if the thing in question is doable from defense then people are seemingly more accepting of it. Kensei is considered by most average players to be a balanced rework when really people like his rework because nothing in his kit is objectively strong and anything that's even remotely good cannot be spammed.
In short the community wants to be able to push buttons. But they don't want their opponent to push buttons. And if they ever have to letup for a brief time they don't want to be forced into actually learning how to deal with someone that doesn't involve just coasting on reactions. This is 100% why anyone defends LB these days. And why anytime we get some truly decent offense people take to the internet to moan about it. They don't want to be playing a fighter.
I'll be sure to pass the positive words along, thank you so much!Originally Posted by MrGrippz Go to original post

Just make sure to tell them to not scroll down. Because op is the only positive one here.Originally Posted by UbiYubble Go to original post
Ok my whole thing is this, they are checking things off the list. Cents good now. One less thing.
Shinobi needs a full rework.
Nobushi needs a slight buff.
Reflex guard needs gone fast.
Chars need openers [Zhan, Zerk, Roch, PK etc] or at least unblockables for reaction pressure.
Lotta glitches still present [falling through maps, autolock feat activation aim SUPER off, etc].
Just some stuff off top but lets keep checking things off til we get to where we wanna be. If the game can keep going into next gen & we can get better FPS on console its gonna be a lot more satisfying to play all around. Two more Wu-Lin chars to catch em up to the rest of the cast, then at current menu space they could do 3 more chars per faction.
How friggin dope is that gonna be? Lol.. I think the future is exciting I mean I'm rep 466 & still havent played like 8 chars yet.
Have you tried passing on the negative feedback to actually be worked on instead? Maybe then you'd be able to actually attract some more ******g players instead of most of them throwing up their arms and leaving alongside the streamers.Originally Posted by UbiYubble Go to original post
