    State of Balance Article

    There is the link for anyone that hasn't read it.

    I really feel like the fight team is listening to the community & while we all hope for updates to balancing more quickly, I want to thank them for at least caring about trying to balance the game. Once all hero's become fairly balanced, this game can start moving to a more competitive community in the tournament aspect. Looking forward to the general combat updates coming in August.

    Na not really they mostly just look at the tier lists and do some random nerfs in the hope that they maybe do something right.

    This entire post mostly screams: We don’t really have any clue of the game and it’s balance.

    But they aren’t listening, at least not to feedback that matters. That entire article is a hypocritical mess.

    Lawbringer has been global S tier for a long time – far too long – and he gets -10 HP removed whereas Hitokiri’s winrate plummeted and they still gut him. No one has ever complained that Lawbringer having 10 extra HP was an issue. Removing the 10 HP from him did nothing at all. He is still strong, he I still dominating 1v1 and dominion, and he’s still more anti-fun that Hitokiri has ever been.

    Hitokiri on their bronze tier list is B tier yet they curb stomped him and not the only S tier hero.

    “Hitokiri also no longer appears at the very top of the Player Win Rates for Dominion.”

    This pretty much backs up that their nerf worked before, so why was he nerfed again?

    “Reflex Guard Heroes still have a difficult time in Dominion. All Reflex Guard heroes currently appear at the bottom half of the Win Rates.”

    Said it time and time again. Just remove reflex guard. It’s awful. It causes more issues than it solves. No one will miss it and all these assassin heroes will suddenly become much better.

    “Defensive Meta is still the dominant meta, and the Fight Team’s analysis is that this meta is stale and needs to change. We look forward to introducing improvements to offense in the Live game during the course of Y4S2, and we expect this to reduce staring contests and freshen up the way the game is played.”

    I was curious for a long while if they played their own game. This is why assassins are also bad, they are punished in this tank meta. It’s also why heavies and tanks excel.

    Also, using competitiveforhonor as grounds for genuine feedback is dumb. You’d get more viable feedback from monkeys at the zoo.

    I just tried today shaman...

    She is without a doubt a better pk.
    I'm a pk Main and it is ridiculous how shaman has all the benefits of pk without the cons. And even more pros like unblockable and a 40 damage finisher with a hatchet. She even can choose the direction of dagger cancels, can do 17 damage on bleeds and STACK her bleeds wich also kills faster . Lunges are faster and directional too. We pk mains dream with any of that.

    Absurdity at it's best and totally imbalanced. Today after killing everyone in various matches with a zero rep shaman(cause she is easy as **** and if you mastered pk even more easy ) ,I learned that there is no freaking balance at all between some "premium" chars and Normal chars, she is pk 2.0. I feel sad and anger cause I really like pk and is totally unfair to handicap her so a pay to win char can do better (pay to win in the sense she costs 10000)
    Now I will even play more with pk and practice more against shamans that already are salty cause I deflect their spams. It seems I will parry lights like I needed to learn against jorgs and orochis. So, balance in this game is just a dream.

    I completely agree! Ubisoft doesn't listen at all. In fact, they just make things worse. Their solution to the whole cry-baby ******* problem is to Nerf Hitokiri into the ******g dirt, weaken Jörmungandr (WHO PRACTICALLY RELIES ON TRADING TO GET DAMAGE, I MIGHT ADD!), and start focusing their evil eyes on Shugoki for being a predictable light-spam trade. IF YOU CAN'T PLAY THE GAME, THEN DON'T BOTHER TRYING!

    The only reason they nerf anyone is because these little wannabes keep *****ing and moaning about something that's not nearly as big of a deal as they cry that it is. I've survived this game for nearly 190x Reps, and the only thing I complain about is how pathetic matchmaking is for giving me trash, when I'm versing players that are evenly-matched with me, or could kick my *** and not even go full-sweat mode to do so.

    Lawbringer, I'll admit, is kind of a problem, but not really as much as everyone thinks. He's predictable, having only like 3x viable mix-ups, that are easy to get out of, I might add. He's strong, but not busted.

I don't think Reflex Guard needs to be removed; I think that Reflex Guard should last longer than a second or a second-and-a-half, and instead, disappear no sooner than about 2.5x seconds. Give all Reflex Guards at least a 40% increase before the guard resets. That's plenty of time to block and parry, without Reflex Guard being busted or pretty much a Static Guard. OR, Ubisoft could give everyone a Reflex Guard (or a Static Guard), and everyone gets their own version of a deflect.

    A part of the community in my opinion is for the lack of a better word: schizophrenic.


    They scream on end that Ubi needs to rework and buff heroes but when they do it’s always wrong.

    It’s impossible to please these kind of people and honestly they should only take advice from comp and not from the entire community.

    Raider already suffered because of that (Because people are to dense to see and remember that his animation was still broken and that this was the problem of it not the stun, it was a great mix up tool and now you can throw what ever you like a decent enemy will just block/parry what comes after it)


    Jorg needed some nerfs to his stamina drain because he could pretty much empty your stamina with a certain way after parry, but giving a stamina bully the drains and the stoping of stamina recover time as normal bash heroes is just close to ******ed. (Even more if you think about that jorgs moveset doesn’t work in 1v1 and neither in gank situations, he was good at anti gank but nothing more.)

    Hito was pretty much the best dlc hero design after the first nerf next to shaman, I don’t really get what’s frustrating about Hito because if you get traded or eat the kick then you made a mistake that’s it.

    Also touching on the lb thing he doesn’t need combos.

    He has a 400ms top light so any combo pressure is almost zero aginst him.

    Bash and Zone still have no recovery on miss.

    His 800ms heavys do almost 40dmg.

    And he got the highest parry punishes in combo with the Highest Hp.

    Lawbringer currently is and still remains a hero on training wheels, if you don’t want to put much effort in learning a hero then Lb is your guy because you basically just need to know top light, how to use the bash and the most important thing parry.

    Congrats you now the walking wall of boredom and slow down fights with your mere presence.

    Actually HP complaint was fairly up there. But the issue was the complaint was about the HP to damage ratio being heavily skewed in LB's favor. Them bringing down his HP to 10 is good but he also needs a damage nerf for his punishes. Which we may get with TG. The other change he got was a fix to an unhealthy gank he could do off of a cgb. Fixing that was a big deal. The issue isn't what they did with LB it's that they didn't do enough.

    Hito, jorm, and goki armor changes are them basically putting their test live. Hito's first nerf to armor stated by them was to test and see where they wanted to put neutral armor. So at least hito's armor nerf wasn't due to them trying to make her worse because she's a "problem." The only change she got in that regard was to her light light combo. Which Is still hilarious and can't be defended. For what it's worth she's still more than playable. She really hasn't changed much. It's just disappointing that they're not also buffing her when she needs help.

    If you dont play the game then you look at things like 'remaining LB HP on a win' and balance off that.

    Im afraid my current thoughts on their balance team are the old saying 'a broken clock is right twice a day'.. Change enough stuff and some of it has to be good.
