    Disappointing start at level 17

Thought I'd just get the campaign underway with the Rescue Amaru mission. You know, a walk in the park.

Switched Midas and Weaver to female to have a co-od squad. Well ....

Half the time I was getting Weaver's male voice, and I'm sure I also had male Midas at least a few times.

This ain't goin' do, so back to all male.

I've got a suspended all-female squad from back in '18 (had just cleared Itacua), so going to load them back up and see if this is a problem with only my recently created build,

Very disappointing to say the least. I'd be interested in learning if Chris has encountered any similar issues with his new co-ed Rebel squad.

Yeah, I also have had the odd gender voice issue, but both times it seemed fairly short lived in that I thought WTF? and then chose to ignore it, and before long, it wasn’t an issue. It may be related to the outfit problem I also encounters a couple of times. Next time just try forcing them to teleport into your vehicle or something and see if that fixes it.

So the male voices stopped at some point?

One of my teams is mixed with one female, and three males. The first time I noticed it was when I was listening to a conversation with two female voices. I double checked the gender of all my team members, and then chose to ignore it. I never heard it again that session but I don’t pay too much attention to who says what. It could have fixed itself quickly or gone on for some time... I’m not sure. It happened again and similarly cleared up after a short time. But I’ve been tweaking outfits a lot lately so if it’s related to that, I can understand it. I am also playing two teams with one save, so switching genders of one character a couple of times each session. So if there are any bugs, I’m likely to find them with the way I’m screwing around with the character models.

I just loaded up my old saved all-female crew, and ran them thru some activities, and didn't hear a male voice whatsoever.

Oh well, I can try some more activities with my level 17 crew as mixed, and see if it stops. Perhaps the key is to start with the mix you wish to have and run from the beginning.

With two different teams using the same slot, I don't see how that can be a factor either. Or am I misunderstanding how you're using the slot - given you mention:

"switching genders of one character a couple of times each session"

I'm using completely different teams with different rules/roles for the same slot, and I switch them via the save files - being sure to make a hard copy backup save upon exiting the game. So for example in slot 3 I have a all-female team, just starting. Another is a all-male team of Mercs who are half-way thru the campaign. These teams have different in-game rules, so I change the appropriate settings accordingly. Same for slot 2 - different teams assigned.

This behavior started with the update that allowed customization of the team.. The voices are no longer attached to the actors. Even with the specific triggered conversations(When you find specific collectibles and it starts conversations about Nazis or Butch Cassidy, etc.) You'll hear Holt's voice, but you see Weaver moving his mouth for example. Like you've said, having even a single female in the group you'll get voices of Midas, Holt, Weaver, AND two females.

Another fun one that can happen: Make at least one of your squad female, make sure Nomad is male, then turn off AI teammates and change Nomad to female and start moving around the world. You'll sometimes hear half of Nomad's lines in male, and in the same conversation switch to female, with a full supporting cast of the five squad member voices... I guess you could RP that you've taken a bit to much for the altitude, or that you're schizophrenic.

I'm only using one save slot, and one save file. I switch the characters up within the session by going in and changing their head/gender/hair and outfits. It takes a few minutes to go through and switch the team over, but this way, I'm progressing Tier Mode on one save file and allowing myself to play different styles with these two teams.

Ah, okay. Now I understand how you're using the slot.
