In Inca Camina, a different experience tonight

The Northern Plane mission (the one in which two SBC helos should spawn) had zero/none bad guys tonight for a character doing it for the first-time.

Also when the character got the intel regarding the sports car and the base, with the words Bowman will get back to us, she doesn't. The mission is now available and the written briefing is displayed correctly, however we never heard about the sports car as a gift and that we need to go steal it.

Anyone have anything like this happen previously? BTW, It's been many, many, months since I've had any character do original missions in Inca Camina.

Don't have Peruvian connection DLC, but saw it last year in co-op with a friend who had the ultimate edition. Interesting. Did you try to force enemies to spawn by flying over or entering detection range? Sometimes enemies spawn, but remain completely invisible to the player and open fire upon visual detection. I had spawning problem quite frequently on old GPU. No issues since upgrading to GTX 1060.

Those 2 helos rely on reinforcement function to work and it's internal timer has been partially broken for a long time. Bug was introduced with guerrilla mode (Unidad/SB helicopters leaving map boundaries, plus random vehicles spawning between waves), but it was isolated from campaign until mercenaries. Virtually any mission with timed response can softlock (become impossible to complete or fail) because of this. Some prime examples: Operation Silent Spade: Snafu, Operation Watchman, The hospital, The resort, Carzita's VIP list, Freedom of speech, etc ... they all have scripted internal timers and rely on several consecutive events (attack waves) to be successfully completed.

Briefings can be easily suppressed by any overlapping/in-progress dialogue, audio recording, radio message or team AI banter. Some new/unfinished missions important for players progression will usually pester Nomad upon fast travel, causing additional delays. My radio is turned off, so I can't provide recent insight in this regard. NPC's, enemy announcements, rebels, team AI banter all have higher priority than anything Bowman has to say. Also, Nomad has to be on foot to correctly trigger Bowman's briefings. Flying or even driving might (or not) interrupt it.

Are you saying no enemy helicopters spawned for the Northern crash? Or no enemies were on the ground? I don’t recall ever seeing enemies on the ground. Only three little bird helicopters.

I don’t remember if I’ve ever had the intel briefing glitch. It’s possible but it’s been awhile. I haven’t been to Inca Camina recently.

No enemy helos spawned. The helos are also the only known enemies at the northern plane crash that I'm aware of. Was set for yjem, and they were a no-show. Landed, still a no show. Blew one cache, still a no show. Blew the remaining, mission completed.

Also no Bowman briefing took me by surprise - all done by the book with no overlapping conversions, etc. Cleared a site, did the interact and stood around taking selfies ...
