Phantom_Blaze,
The answer is that if ever linked to FB your game save becomes the property of FB just like any pictures or comments or any other personal data you ever give FB. So if you log the game out of FB they keep your save and it no longer belongs to you and can only be used by you when you are attached to them.
This of course make no sense, the game is regularly telling me that there is a game sync mismatch and I have to pick if I want to continue with the Server or Device version of the save. So obviously the game save exists on both the server and your device. So why delete your local device save when logging out of FB? Probably a requirement of their agreement with FB to keep you on FB like it or not.
Otherwise it's just poor coding by Ubisoft because there is no logical reason to delete or lose access to your local files...
This whole thing seems weird. I played from the very beginning, 2 years ago. Six months ago, I had to change my phone, so I created a Facebook account, linked the game to that account, downloaded the game in the new phone, and restored my progress on the new phone. Then I delinked the game from Facebook and disabled that account (as you cannot really delete a Facebook account). I did retain my progress, the game did NOT reset. So now it does? What a failure.

I ran into this problem today when I tried to deleted my facebook profile. They say that they're planning to implement a secondary authentication method for android, but gave no reference as to when that would be.
I want to get rid of facebook without resetting more than two years of progress. so a non-facebook method of authentication with the ability to transfer my progress would be greeeat. Thaaaanks.
Well, so this was posted just over 4 months ago. Maybe this answers your question Ryan8374.Originally Posted by Ubi-Bunny Go to original post
