Ubisoft: End your ridiculous temp-ban over chat policy

I will say this: Under no circumstances is it acceptable or reasonable for a company to ban a player from using the product over something as ridiculous, petty, and absurd as "offensive chat", "abusive chat" or "Taaaaahxiiiic behavior". In a game where your coder-monkies have bothered to implement OPT IN chatboxes, OPT OUT Censorship, and even OPTIONAL MUTE for both voice and text chat, it is beyond reprehensible that your policy reflects this pseudo fascist, almost communist take on suppression of free speech.

Free speech in gaming, even **** talking is a staple of gaming, especially in competitive and horrible games like For Honor and R6 Siege, where there is much to be salty about. If people get offended by what's said, they should not have opted out of censorship, or opted into open chat boxes. If they don't want to see it from that person or those people again, they can mute and block. That should be the short and long of your entire involvement as a company!

Example Mine: "In order to preserve a positive experience for players, we have taken the necessary steps of temporarily banning your account for 10 day(s) starting immediately. Repeated violations may result in a permanent account closure. "

So in order to preserve someone's feels and make them have a "Safe space" on the internet, you have banned me from a product I paid for, multiple times over, and even paid into the in game currency over, for 10 days, with a threat of permanent banning - Over words, petty, insignificant, never gonna ******g matter WORDS.

This kind of policy is totally egregious to players, gamers, and any reasonable people. It may be your game, your property to make policy under, but without people to populate it and profit off of, it's just useless software. The people who play when you give these games away for free are not the same people, like me, who pay into your game(s) and services and allow you to draw a profit.

Consider this a customer complaint, against a policy and action that is entirely intolerable and does not match the scope of the "crime" when such punishments are not evenhandedly distributed among all the participants in an argument, and literally only actioned against the person who first gets their report off.

    This makes for a **** experience, from a **** company, with **** anti-consumer policies.

Either you didn't read the post or you're trolling, in which case, troll elsewhere.
