Consistent GPU crash, only with Uplay games | Forums

I'm getting constant GPU crashes in game recently. The video freezes about 20-25 minutes into gameplay and I can still input commands and get nonvisual feedback for a few seconds until it crashes to desktop.
GPU is a 1080 ti, temps all seem normal

It does not crash during non ubisoft games launched through steam (tested just cause 3 for an hour with lots of explosions) or games launched through epic (borderlands 3 which is generally much less optimized than forhonor) but does crash with other ubisoft titles launched through uplay (assassins creed syndicate crashes with the same error at about the same time).

I've reinstalled my Nvidia drivers, verified game files, and turned off all overlays to no avail.

Help me ubisoft, I want to test my metal with the new cent rework.
