As much as I like the idea, I think its better for them to put their resources into a Ghost Recon with, for once, a heavy fan base collaboration. Wildlands is still too young and you'll just be playing the same content. Like the news about GTA V getting a remaster for PS5, it's not really satisfying because there's nothing new.
I think a Future Soldier or even some of the other previously much older Ghost Recon games getting either a reboot or remastered versions of themselves would be insane. COD did it and it was awesome. Nothing like playing a better looking version of an already nostalgic game. I was personally blown away at the near life accurateness of COD: Modern Warfare 2019 and loved the remastered versions of Modern Warfare 1 and 2. Although I couldn't help but think what it would have been like to play those campaigns with the new mechanics of today's Modern Warfare. Also thought it would be sweet to play either reboots or remastered versions of the Splinter games and the older Rainbow Six games. That would definitely be a nostalgic overload! Ahh...it is fun to dream.
What!!!! Why Wildlands? When GR2 was far better as was GRAW. If Ubi are unable to make a good GR game again then we need remaster the better games in the series first and then get to FS & Wildlands.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post

They want freedom and wildlands was nicely done.
If were to be added the good things from BP, it would be a really nice game.
I'd love to say that I would love it.
But I wont be able to buy the next gen due to the price in Brazil being over 5K
Side note, PS5 and the new Xbox already have backwards compatibility so you can quite literally just play Wildlands on both without a problem, and those who want better graphics can just go on nexus mods and download some reshade mods that are there. A Wildlands remaster quite literally isn't needed.
So I’d like to expand this idea a little to see what people think. Rather than just Wildlands remastered, how about Wildlands 1.5.
What I would suggest is that we could have all the content from Wildlands, including all updates and DLCs. (Maybe not Narco Road), plus new content, new mechanics and new weapons, plus the select few improvements that BP introduced, (not the drones), like the injury system, the leaning around cover, (no drones), the CQC finishers, selection of knives, (definitely no drones), maybe even an optional better thought out survival system, better terrain movement, the rocket launcher, (only as a weapon, not an equipment item), single or even no primary weapon, ability to pick up and use any fallen weapon, without the equipped weapon vanishing and no drones.
Examples of new content that I think could work.
Expand the Peruvian Connection.
A Peruvian Cartel lends support to Santa Blanca. This could have two different story paths dependent on when the player starts it.
If started prior to removing El Sueno, the alliance threatens to reinforce SB to a degree that it would jeopardise the operation. If started after then the Peruvian cartel could be looking to take over.
Either way there could be a number of mission, new buchons and preferably and expansion of the map. Maybe even a region or three set in Peru that can only be accessed via air or fast travel.
Add in an expanded Santa Mueté cult. Separate from Santa Blanca but equally brutal to the civilian population, this could be entirely optional content set in a new region to the NW of map, but completing it could help to get the local population on the teams side.
Trains that can actually be boarded, interacted with and missions involving them.
Potential new mechanics.
Limited vehicles. Option for vehicles to be something that need to be cared for, repaired and fuelled. Vehicle weapons could have limited ammo just like any other weapon.
Rebel pilot. New rebel resource allowing players to rappel, HALO and in the right circumstances extract.
RPGs, both enemy and Ghosts.
Infrastructure destruction and repair. Bridges, roads AA batteries. Taking out a bridge could slowdown reinforcements. Destroying an AA battery would put it out of action for a period of time.
A base capture and loss system as suggested for BP by Vahndaar.
A vastly expanded set of team options. Full customisation, including skills and loadouts and a detailed team orders system. Soul swapping.
Climbing and rappelling.
Options to limit quantity of ammo, munitions, bandages, rations.
Ability to craft and set booby traps.
Weight management and movement penalty/bonus system.
Armour weight, protection and degradation system.
Working scuba gear.
