The problem is I’m not sure the company still gets what is being hoped for, or has the same idea of what is good content. In a conversation I had with a community manager just after my removal from Delta, it was stated to me how there was going to be loads of amazing PvE content to come. What we got was episode 2 and the terminator event, both of which have not been received particularly well.
So the community manager wasn’t wrong, but it was their perception. That’s why I feel early communication would be far more advantageous. It’s difficult because obviously you don’t want to give away the whole story, but with something like the AI team mates Ubisoft could give details about such things as customisation and controls without spoiling any plot lines.
Episode 2 was terrible. Forced boss fights, stupid story line that makes no sense and no impact on the overall world (even though it should). Not to mention it’s very un-splinter cellish, i could have written a better plot and missions than that. It was just the same terrible missions, with drone boss fights.

The way this company conducts itself towards it's costumers, or rather a subset of it's player base is just out of this world.
Yep, and the joke seems to be on us.

At least in the short run, yes.

The main weaknesses and disappointment in it for me was that it was not complementary to the immersive settings; practically the opposite. The game play mechanics are getting there now, but the mission design has to match them. Unfortunately Deep State was more than likely committed to before there was time to completely rework it.

I can't get the full satisfaction of planning and picking the right load out unless I know the entire mission objectives up front so I can pick what I need. All the missions required a different load out and equipment at the initial stages than they did for the latter stages, where as you say it was usually some kind of shoot out. I really would like a mission brief and then you choose your gear and approach based on the objectives. The whole go there, speak to someone or hack a PC then go to the next place structure of the missions make them treasure hunts and linear.

Maybe one-day things might be different.

Is breakpoint ever actually likely to go into that direction though, I think they strayed too far to ever get back on track to the degree that we are all hoping for.
Your opinion and inside information welcome.
