You guys not only ignore the calls for matchmaking in the raid, but lock exotics AND sets behind it.
I'm going to try and keep this simple and civil: You are making a mistake.
I understand that you've probably spent a LOT of dev time on this new content. And so it makes sense that you want to encourage players to interact with it. But I believe that coercing players into content that they have already expressed a lack of interest in, and the method of accessing it(lack of matchmaking), by locking over half of the new exotics and sets behind the raid is NOT going to work.
If anything it will actually serve to drive players away from a game they're already frustrated with. I know this is my reaction to it.
The Division is not a raid-centric game. And while I can't dispute that raiding is some of the hardest content in the game, at most raiding is a single game mode among many. And the ONLY game mode that is so exclusive and without matchmaking.
So ask yourself this: Do you honestly believe that most of your playerbase, who's primarily interested in the small squad(1-4 agents), matchmaking dynamic of the rest of the game is going to thank you for locking the lion's share of cool new items behind a game mode that is nothing like what they're actaully in the Division to play?
And then, even if they do jump through all those hurdles just to access the raid, they have to deal with poor RNG just for the chance of one of these items dropping....most likely not getting it at all, or getting it with garbage rolls.
Massive. You need to re-evaluate this decision. I understand that there needs to be some prestigious and exlusive drop in the raid. The two exotics more than cover that. If you need more than that, add cosmetic raid only apparel or weapon skins.
Do. Not. Lock. Sets. Behind. The. Raid.
By doing so you are sending the message that the only people you care about are the people who raid, and that is NOT the greater bulk of your playerbase.
And even if it works, and you get players into the raid chasing gear....they won't be there because its fun or good content. They'll be there because they felt forced into it, further stoking the feelings of resentment foe the dev team.
Is that what you want, Massive? To make players even more angry? How do you think that's going to go down when you're asking for money in future seasons, or when other games like Cyberpunk and Outrider launch later this year?
You're going to be left with only raiders, and those guys won't stick around after they get their drops.
Good luck with that.
I just have to ask since no one else is asking you but i am sure they whonder too.
At what point did you exaktly started to get back faith in this game. ?
When did you loose the faith and when did it got back. ?
I just have to ask cause i havent seen anything in this game since launch that would make me think ...WOW that looks great.

I honestly thought this was sign of a new, more healthy interaction between players and devs.
But now it's clear that was all a facade to cover a fixation on turning the Division into a raiders-only club.
They don't listen. At all. Or, if listen, they don't give a f..k (sorry for self quoting):Originally Posted by Sircowdog1 Go to original post

They launch the SOTG and out there they create an hype train that everybody jumps at.
To just be dissapointed when release comes out.
This is actually the wery purpose of SOTG.
You can see it as a live trailer.
There will be never matchmaking for the raid, can you all stop whining once and for all ! Raid is not a matchmaking activity, you need people who have good builds, know how to shoot and sit in cover, know how to communicate on voice etc. There are a lot of ways to get in raid, game discord constantly have players looking for raid, join a clan etc. All this whining for raid MM is pathetic, just stop it.
You are wrong.Originally Posted by ctefanaki Go to original post
All you need is 7 players who are willing to glitch for speedruns.
Raids in Division 2 are one of the simplest you can do in the gamming world today.
If the only new actual new content is the raid, that requires 7 others not sure I will be playing much. Even if I did the raid why would I farm the same instances over and over for rewards that have no meaning and are likely to be nerfed later on?
As soon as I have my stuff I've no real incentive. Much less spending money on a battlepass that will make me feel obligated to play the game when I really haven't got much motivation to do so.
Why did they delay the raid so long if matchmaking wasn't going to be part of it?
