Manning National Zoo Mortars Are OP While Solo

So I'm trying to do the manning national zoo and no one is in matchmaking or responding to the call for backup. I am forced to do this solo at this point, I have dropped the difficulty from heroic all the way down to hard and I still cannot get through the part when you first encounter the mortars. It is impossible with a marksman build. The mortars are op. Either the AoE is too large or the firing rate is too frequent. I cannot dodge out of the mortar area unless I am sprinting beforehand and it fires just frequently enough that I can repair my armor but can't deal any damage. The mortars can not be taken cover from, the damage goes right through the ceiling of the huts. Unless I am sprinting around, not using cover, the mortars just kill me in 4 shots. If I am sprinting around, the adds kill me before I can kill all of them. ONCE I killed the entire first wave of enemies with my sidearm, only to encounter a second and immediately fall over dead. Without any way to slow/disable the rapid-fire, over-large mortars it is 98% impossible to get through this part solo with a squishy damage build. You either need a second player to draw the aggro of the mortars so at least someone has the chance to be dealing damage in between mortar shots, or you end up build restricted. Build-restricting is bad when you are being forced to solo.

No, seriously, this is a miserable experience.

    My suggestions are as follows.

While a player is playing solo:

    1) Reduce the AoE of the mortar (or increase its travel time) and increase it's accuracy. It forces you to leave cover frequently and interrupts your shots but you can reliably dodge it.

    or

    2) Add more time between shots. Allows the player to fire a few extra shots off or to use repair kits. As it stands there isn't enough time to dodge, get to cover, repair your armor and dodge the next shot.

Hey, this is one of our known issues and our team have looked into this.
There should be a fix going in for the next title update as it seemed crazy that there was no warning made clear for the deployment of mortars.

have you now? this is a year old post and problem is still there, the damn mortars in invaded manning national zoo are RIDICULOUS, from the time you get a red circle under you to the time you get hit is 0.5 seconds you cant even dodge roll out of it

Damn, that ubi post had me excited for a second, until I saw the date on it.
They just need to update the delay on the mortars to match the final area of the mission, those ones give you an extra second or so and it makes all the difference.

Wouldn't it be cool if you could locate the spotter and kill them to stop the mortars? or something like that, i mean they got to have a spotter that knows where you are at all times, if not, then its not really realistic.

Doesn't give you enough time to manually revive a player either

Not a fan of the screen shake either (an option to disable that for the whole game would be helpful)
