Challenges need more variation
While i am still wholeheartedly against the challenge matchmaking changes that were made a few months back, i still have the most fun playing challenges, and its probably the main reason i keep playing... That said, i think ur challenges are too formulaic and predictable. For example, i don't even need to use my psychic powers to know that this weeks challenge will most likely be 'space pilot bradley starts at level 2 (possibly with a 20% increase in stats) and all assassin's (possibly even those that spawn assassin's ie sexy nun Randy) will cost one less than normal...
One of my favorite challenges has been the all spells cost 1, just because it changed the game and standard strategies so much... While this weeks challenge should be chaotic and probably fun, most weeks cookie cutter 'these cards are boosted and \ or cost less' just becomes how can i cram the most boosted cards in my deck...
As i said, id like to see challenges change the feel of the game. How about energy fills 2 or 3 times normal speed, with 4 or 6 times fill for last minute... Being able to throw out mbp, barbrady, and maxi into the fray within seconds of each other sounds fun to me... Or even the opposite where energy fills at half speed, where even if ur running a spam deck, every mistake or overcommit could be crucial... How about at random intervals through match a **** magic is cast... How about every 15 seconds a mbp, barbrady, or hell even a few rats are spawned into the battle for each side... Stuff like this is great, some will figure out how to eliminate the spawns most effectively, some will figure out how best to boost the spawns, some will figure out what cards most people are using to eliminate or boost the spawns then figure out a way to best eliminate those cards...
I can tell I'm starting to ramble, so I'll leave it at that while my main point is still there. Don't be afraid to shake up the challenge formula, worst case, the ideas a flop and after 2 days it's gone.. best case it's new and different and can be expanded upon...
Thanks for listening
