    Far cry 4

2 days ago I've installed an 'Uplay update' that ask me for the 'new policies of the UBI'. And, PRAISE THE LORD, FC4 (steam version) finally started again, and I was even able to go online mode. Today, since I clicked on "agree with new policies of UbiSoft", when I try to run the game, from UPLAY or STEAM, it starts to sincronise my saved games and BOOM... the game closes and I even do not get the error message. Since i've Bought the geme, what should I do?

    Hey,

Sorry to hear you can't launch the game. Please can you try verifying the files.

In Steam - From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache.

Now try and relaunch the game.

Thanks for the reply. I've tried that and no luck. I even manage to get the game playable with another older version of "uplay_r1_loader64.dll", but, only offline. with the original file from Steam, the game seems to have problem when syncronizing it to the Ubisoft cloud. Should I delet my saves? I'm only trying to play the custom maps. I've beaten the game for about 10 times. thanks again

also do you really need to use cloud saves ? i personally keep that setting off in Uplay ... and do my own manual back up of my own save files

as detailed on that page..in case i need to reinstall Uplay or move my save file to a different PC

Thanks WID992007, but I've tried it all.
I've did an integrit test, 100% OK; uncheck the cloud saves; reinstalled UPlay; deleted my savegames, but nothing. I've tried to run it from uplay, steam, but, as soon as the game launches a black popup window pops up with an yellow triangle with "!" inside of it in a blink of an eye so I can't even know what the error might be. As i said, as soon the new Uplay was updated few days ago, I was able to go online, and even download 2 maps... At that ocasion, Uplay had a message that ubisoft would change its policies... that day, I've skipped the process os checking the 'agreement box'. The next day, all runed smoothly until I checked that damned box. Afterwards, I'm experiencing this situation where the comunication between steam and Uplay.
I managed to find a 'fix' on youtube, downloading another version of "uplay_r1_loader64.dll" (which is the only way i can get the game to play instantly... but offline.
really, I think it's time to give up. FC3 and bloody dragon, on the other side does not seem to have problem at all... and they are older games.
    Best wishes.

Hello! I'm sorry to read you've been experiencing crashes since the new Terms of Use.

I appreciate this issue is frustrating and it has been affecting you a long time. Of course we want to help in any way we can, so we're always happy to offer suggestions if you would like to pursue this further.

You have already tried reinstalling Uplay but just in case the cache folder remained, I would suggest clearing Uplay's cache: https://support.ubisoft.com/en-gb/Faqs/000027310/

I hope that helps, and we're always here if you need anything.
