The point of the delay is to show support for the terrible events transpiring in the USA.
For all you whiners complaining about Ubisoft's decision, you are some of the most selfish humans out there.
True, The Warrior's Den probably doesn't take much attention away from anything these days, but it's the point of making a statement, and Ubisoft is stating that they support the BLM movement.
Kudos Ubisoft!!
I haven't been overly impressed with how you've handled For Honor lately, but I know nothing about game development so for all I know, it's not even your fault.
I was however impressed with your support of BLM. I support the choice to delay the reveal. I love For Honor and will most likely play it until it no longer exists. I am sad that things are being delayed, but the reasons are 110% valid, so I'll suck it up and wait.
Y'all whiners really should do the same.
Thank you, Ubisoft, for showing us where you stand in all this. I, for one, am grateful of your decision.
Probably will get locked since it's off topic. But i'll just drop my two cents here since the other one got locked.
I'm pretty neutral on the whole idea of companies delaying stuff to make a statement. The usa does have a problem with systemic racism. It has plenty of other issues too. Though to be honest I don't realistically believe if things had been "status quo" when this happened that we'd all be here up in arms. I think that this was merely the event to blow the cap off the building frustrations that's been present here for many many years. We just happen to also exist during a time with a borderline fascist president gravely mishandling a disease outbreak.
Companies are made up of individuals and i've no doubt that there are people who actually care about what's going on right now. I just have a hard time believing companies as a whole really care this much. I feel like if they did there would be some sort of action on their part. To stop/prevent future incidents of this. So, Companies saying "we stand with you (: " and delaying game information is for a lack of better words kind of a PR stunt. I don't mean that these companies do not care even a little. I'm sure they do. But image is important. In these times being silent can and is viewed as in-action, and to some people, going against the people who are outraged about current events.
So they kind of have to say something. But I feel like they should have at least made it feel less...cooperate? More personal. A lot of the posts feel almost copy paste. Sure having their own personal response to add to the delay of information/content wouldn't really be stepping forward and actually helping out. But it would at least show that there is real intention and emotion behind the message being put up.
But maybe that's just me.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, however to all the people complaining about the reveal delay, they are just ignorant.Originally Posted by Knight_Raime Go to original post

Priorities, at their finest.
I agree. But you know, people are awful in general. So it's sad. But expected.Originally Posted by MrBdur Go to original post
I mean. I kind of outlined it already. But i'll point it out again for you.Originally Posted by LightUpTheEyes Go to original post
the united states has a racism problem that is system wide. This has never stopped being a problem or suddenly picked up. Things are just actually more documented now.
As for the riots it's clearly not just because a single person died. That was the catalyst. Even if we leave racism out of it people have grown increasingly frustrated with the current presidency and how he's absolutely bumbled the handling of the disease outbreak. In short people are pissed off. And this finally pushed people over the edge.
White people dying isn't news because white people are not oppressed. Minorities are. But the context of the situation also very much matters. As an example, if a young white middle class female goes missing it's a huge deal. If a poor mexican boy goes missing it's not news. The Floyd situation can be explained as thus. He's an oppressed minority who is likely poor. The killer is white. White people are in a position of power, especially white males. Then you add the fact that said killer was a cop. If you live under a rock it might be forgivable to miss news. But incase that is true cops have had more than a small string of incidents all over the country for years now where they do something horrible and basically get a slap on the wrist for it. Which is abuse of actual power.
So to recap for you. Racism is a huge issue in the usa. Cops abusing power is a huge issue in the usa. Minorities are mistreated in general. And we happened to have literal video proof of two of the usa's current and long on going problems happening at the same time go viral. When we're already very stressed and upset over how the president is doing and the current pandemic at hand.
Well said. I wish I could articulate the points you made as good as you. Kudos!Originally Posted by Knight_Raime Go to original post
What’s happening now its been happening for as long as i can remember, white, black or whatever and i don’t recall any company doing what they’re soing right now out of solidarity. Don’t get me wrong its nice that “some” feel this way but how much of this “solidarity” it true, i get stuff has been delayes for the virus going around, its like that everywhere but people adapted to it and did stuff or announcements on videochats yet ubi has been silenet for how long ? I mean this gamea has been out for 4 years, they can barely keep with whatever crap they say or promise, even if it upsets me a bit i can understand they not showing anything today but at least a post or something ? These devs are just so full of ****, like they’re releasing a new game!
Racism is definitely a problem all the way across the board that's for sure. However minorities here in America are not oppressed, they used to be, but in fact they (along with white people) are extremely lucky or "privileged" (that seems to be the term that is used most of the time) to be an American citizen. They're at the top of the first world countries. The oppression argument is bs, anyone can be oppressed if that's the mind set you have. I know plenty of successful minorities, one of my bosses is a minority who is extremely successful and he didn't get to where he's at by feeling bad for himself and feeling like the world owes him something. The minorities that are "oppressed" are the ones that did a bunch of drugs instead of studying, or running around gang banging living off the system rather than making something out of themselves. There are caucasians in America that are oppressed too, but they, like the oppressed minorities have oppressed themselves and only have themselves to blame.Originally Posted by Knight_Raime Go to original post
As for Trump, yeah he probably shouldn't be president but who would of been better? Hillary? Yeah not so much.
