    Small suggestion about 1886 rifle

Just increasing the basic magazine to 8 should make the rifle more popular, it's small magazine and low rof makes extremely punishing for missing shots so some people spend more time reloading than shooting, taking in consideration the very high damage i think this is what is actually holding the weapon pack from being competititve with M1A and few other rifles

Increasing the mag size will also lead to longer reloads, so I'm not sure how much it would help in the long run. The ridiculously lengthy reload of manually chambered weapons like the 1886/Diamondback and Model 700 are what really put me off, more so than the low mag capacity.

I'd personally rather see the base reload improved, but that said, it's not like 3 extra rounds is gonna make the gun OP all of a sudden, and reload can always be boosted with handling. As a bonus, seems like that rifle is typically built to hold 8 rounds IRL too.

8 rounds is a real mag size of 1886 Winchester.

Duly noted. Thank you - all three of you - for sharing your thoughts on the 1886 Rifle.

As an additional thought, the lack of mod slots on the 1886 means a loss of 15% crit chance, or alternatively the inability to equip something like the digital scope. It's possible that was factored in to it's base damage, but if not then that alone would warrant a buff to it's mag and/or reload in my opinion.

If we actually get the 1886 and the Diamondback with an 8-round magazine firing good ole' .45-70 Government, I am going to jump for joy.

I was hoping to see how much ammo you could get if you maxed out the magazine size trait. I just got the named version, Something "of Virginia" and it had the trait at about 2/3 full, giving it just one extra round. I was considering on either maxing that out or it's damage.

I'm fine with the game putting in 5 shells as it's basic. I think most are believing it's a standard 1886. But if you look at it's size, damage, lengthy reload, poor accuracy and handling, I believe it's the uncommon version shooting the 32 guage shotgun shells. And it's in the rifle category because it's shooting slugs.

If it is a 32 guage version, I have no idea what the normal capacity would be but the rounds would definitely be larger. The 5 basic capacity does make sense if it is the 32 guage, however, hunting laws would cap shotguns to a maximum of 5 rounds (depending on local hunting laws and what's being hunted).
