Are we serious with this mortar drop time? Manning National Zoo invaded

I mean. Ok. You have to stay mobile. You better have a good armor and armor regen build. And good luck solo? Do the mortars have 50k armor/health or something?

I understand it's supposed to be hard but good god...

    EDITS:

If you want to watch my follow ups I learned a couple things. That box thing I saw in the video above (in the far left corner of the enclosure, behind the big structure to your left as you walk in) is not how you shut off the mortars. I've done this mission before so I don't understand why I'm so lost this time around, but I'm assuming it's because I learned about the nemesis a while back and at the time it happened to be Manning invaded with the blueprint invaded mission available as well, got lucky and an extra part dropped during the blueprint mission. Must have been before these mortars went ape. So I ran the whole map to check if there was a mortar launcher anywhere (you rlly don't need to watch):

Alright... I pulled out my phone's stopwatch, and with the same reaction time (my tap) on both ends of the stopwatch they're more like 625/650 milliseconds, maybe a hair less. Add me tho let's check out my "skill."

Finally, three more joined, and while I was running around doing nothing, it does turn out only one mortar drops. Same rate and all that but it's only going to go for the highest dmg player as someone said in the comments. It makes it manageable.

Best part I figured out during this run is the thin orange fabric awnings to your left as you walk into the enclosure are actually a futuristic material we have never seen before. It eats every ounce of those mortars and you're safe underneath. There's no cover from the enemies in front of you, but with a good shield build (doesn't even have to be the full body one, could be the primary weapon shield with one or two skill, one or two armor, and three dmg items) you could probably sit under them and wait for the enemies if you don't like groups.

The rest of the video below shows you just have to open the door in the corner without being prompted and continue on to the area with the mortar generators. Not sure if you have to clear first but it would probably be pretty hard to open the door without. Whole thing is still dumb to me but not impossible. I'm sure I'll run it solo next time. But then again my nemesis is done now so... why?

Well it looks like the Black Tusk will be having extra fun time on my map this week. Shame too, the rest of the mission is fun.

This no longer surprises me ... so much was said about grenades falling on the head that in the end Ubisoft decided to do something about it and reduce the absurd accuracy of falling grenades. Unfortunately, the quality developers did not associate the accuracy of flying grenades with the accuracy of mortars, which, despite being a few hundred meters away, will always drop the projectile exactly on the player's head. It amazes me only that it needs to be explained so thoroughly to intelligent people.

When leaving that room why didn't you run left and stay above? your chances of survival would have been a lot better

above what? is there an anti-grav lift i dont know about? XD

even then I assume these shells are dropping from infinity and travelling at the speed of light times the speed of light with this coding. These devs are impressive!

seriously though I did stay on the deck my first run before recording. Makes no difference, same accuracy, same rate. It's not like they can't reach you. Pretty sure that hill is level with the observation deck.

I noticed the first mortar in the corner behind one of the big structures when I was shooting at the elite medic toward the end there, but alas, 400 milliseconds to do anything about it. I'd take 1 second if they're serious about this difficulty. But as is is insane. I wouldn't be surprised if every member of the group gets their own present in succession too.

play the video with sound, and notice the time between launch (or red circle popping up) and impact. it happens three/four times within 20 seconds.

just draw the aggro and play safe in the covered area , its like that in every instance of the game that uses mortars , IMO they could go and i would not miss them , would prefer more enemies to fight in the same area than that on any map , even rogue agents are better than this artificial way of making you move.

I tried the covered area and still got bopped. I do run Providence Glass Cannon, but I was at full health. If the little cover thing is going to absorb any damage I should have still survived at least, no?

I'm sure I'll try again later and come back with some evidence. I only need one more exotic marksman rifle part. I'll use a different build for that part. One non-glass cannon, one full armor etc.

In my exp the mortars give you at least 2 if not 2.2 seconds to move after the noise and red indicator, just enough time to realize, leave cover and dive. If you don't get the right buttons or dive into something you're screwed but that's fair. Agree with your point but fair all things considered. There's only so many ways to create difficulty without getting too repetitive.

I just watched again and I think these are .8 or .9 seconds. That's impossible with the radius.
