Yeah I’m gonna have to agree with those saying this card is absurdly overpowered. I’m usually not one to complain about cards but this one is just ridiculous. The way I see you took chaos and warboy, two very strong and useful cards, took the best part about them, their abilities, and made them repeatable. Instead of 1 time warcry this card gets unlimited speed boost and is able to freeze as many enemies as you can place assassins while it’s alive. Chaos and warboy are strong cards and they can only use these abilities once. Space pilot or whatever it’s called, for the same cost, can do them repeatedly. I watched a full health wdt get shredded by gnomes in before the stun even wore off. I usually defend redlynx but this looks like a shameless cash grab to me.
Not really, I think they shoot themselves with this one instead. Cards such as MBP, most recent op card, lost effectiveness and are made less attractive, less winning cards. This Bradley changes the power scale in a completely different direction, however, this Bradley is also so strong that is very likely gonna get nerfed soon. So, in this moment, I see little incentive to spend on cards that are powned by a swarm of frenzy rats, and I see little point in spending on a card that is likely to be nerfed.Originally Posted by jshepherd21 Go to original post
I might be wrong because I am f2p and miss to fully see the psychology of scam's buyers though (this might sound offensive but come on, this game is so bugged and rigged that every sale is a scam, and who spends money in it buys marbles for pearls).
Btw, I am very happy with this card, at the end it makes the game quicker and more dynamic, shakes things up while remaining counterable by countless cards, all those effective vs little units really. People unhappy with swarms? They are easy to be dealt with, but you can't just hope to win by placing slow and lethal Santa+ somm or mbp, you need to get quicker at playing and stop relying on easy wins. Now a little disattention can cost the match. Yet, you can still kill them all with a fart or an arrowstorm, you can still faceroll your way to victory.
See the good point: this card is also not really p2w material, as its main function doesn't really depend on the card level. During this event I don't feel the card level difference as before. Facing the usual +3 level players with level 5 epic and 4 legendaries is like facing my peers level 20. Another reason for this card to be friendly fire for Ubisoft, and destined to nerf.
I like this card and I like the way it shakes things up. I’m not convinced it’s overpowered but I do believe the card cost is too low. Outside of events, I’m not sure how feasible all/most assassin stocked decks would be, given the broad array of counters, and every deck can have at least 1 or more that you are likely carrying anyway (fireball, Chicken magic, arrow storm, super fart, sorceress, satan, Prof chaos, Rogue token, lava, SOMM, Incan Craig if timed right and things line up, and evening a lightning strike or mind control to space pilot directly would do the trick. Some of the aoe bombers like Nathan and Mephisto would work. I think Barbrady death wish is too slow, haven’t tested that one)
I agree cards requiring synergy (interactions with other cards) should cost less because they are harder to pull off and provide value, and on their own their body stats are just so-so. However, adding two important effect stats (haste + summon stun), even though it’s only to a subset card population =assassins, makes this a 4 cost epic, not a 3 cost epic. If this were a legendary, maybe 3 cost makes sense.
Overall I believe more cards like this are needed
and once again robbed of a victory due to bugs caused by speed change effects, astro butters killed and came back to life... TWICE basically stopping me defeat a push that took a bar, i ended up drawing that game, this bug has been around for ages.. and yet here we are again having it effect matches again.
The added benefit of the speed increase to assassins is where the line is crossed. Maybe give them a small time of speed increase after spawning, but infinite is too much. Sci-fi will quickly become the dominating theme with this card being added, to where it's going to be Bradley Vs Bradley every game, just like before when EKB was clearly overpowered.
I hate new cards. I want to be excited, I really do (which means each card release needs to INCREASE rewards gained because it is slowing our progression down drastically) and I want to see what crazy quirks new cards can have, but a card like this is the definition of overpowered. Assassins can take out anything without being touched. Then they race to the next thing or your NK. I am really glad to see Gizmo getting some use now, but did you have to release such a monstrously overpowered card to make that happen?
This card will be the main target of complaints in the next few weeks, and RL will probably nerf this card by July.
If they don't, prepare to see this card in every single Sci-Fi deck.
Sigh. Here we go again. Everytime a new card comes out that’s even just marginally good you have people whining about it being overpowered and wanting a nerf. It happened with Liane. It happened with City wok guy. And it’s happening now.
Let’s applaud them for thinking outside the box and giving us a unique card with a cool ability that is not “causes x amount of damage to x number of cards”. (Looking at you president garrison).
The card requres AT LEAST 5 energy to have ONE assassin in hyperdrive. As long as there are removal cards that cost 4 or 5 energy, NO combo is overpowered.
From what Ive seen, the card is really only “op” with gizmo ike. And it’s about time gizmo got some love. But still that’s 6 energy that is easily countered by a rogue, lebard, arrowstorm, nelly, SOMM, satan, and a dozen more cards.
This card-dependent deck still gets wiped out by removal spam decks and low cost spam decks, which everyone still plays.
Come one Danny, this card can be dealt with by anything that deals with somm + many more (having less health) - enforcer and power bind, but it needs other units to function and doesn't do anything by itself, meaning that its cost can't just be considered 3. As I said once, a card that kills the full enemy board with almost no conditions (somm), just raises the bar of opness above all and everything just fall under. Until somm is there no other card deserve a nerf.
Other than that, no assassin stays on the field for more than 5-6 seconds and gets more than 2 hits off, if it does is the other player playing the wrong way.
The more I see it in play the less overpowered it seems (yet strong and game changing). Most decks already contains all you need to counter it. The fact that is so different from other cards might be playing a surprise effect of opness.
Also, I don't think that work our decks around this card too much works in terms of consistency, if one wants to climb. Unconsidered use is quick to turn in energy disadvantage.
On another note. Every addition is most and always welcomed. Balance is a chimera of all games and especially games of this nature just can't have it, they need unbalanced cards that people want to buy to win, they need to keep the game 'beatable' by spending money, not by skill raising. Skill can't be a factor over money, or they would loose income. Balance also means people don't buy, so we can't hope in balanced and fair game, but at least we can hope in a fun and dynamic one.
This time I have to agree with Danny. They released a massively powerful, game changing card here. It's telling when immediately upon release he's listed T0 in the tier list and players who are using him boosted to lv5 are crushing the top of the leaderboard. Sci/fan decks with costs below 3 are incredibly strong, and a big reason is the infinite hyperdrive effect that even hits assassins that were already in play when Bradley is summoned. It's like taking Warboy's already strong speed up effect, making it constant and hitting units coming after summon, and then throwing a stun on summon that turns it into a defensive powerhouse.
I'd give it 3 months before they milk whales for enough copies before an inevitable nerf comes. Sadly this seems to be business as usual now.
