    Vulkan API Support!

Game would run better with it added to the game with DX11/DX12 option. Breakpoint runs extremely well on my RTX 2070/i7-10750H w/ Vulkan API! I really wish The Division 2 could have it as a toggle option. Game really aint optimized well. Especially with shadows on. I know the game aint maxing out 8GBs of my V-Ram on Ultra. Breakpoint can run Ultra Flawlessly because im running the game with Vulkan API!

I can set division 2 on High w/ No issues. DX11/DX12 but, I think vulkan api would make Ultra Preset run more efficiently on my hardware for sure. Im not saying take DZ12/DX11 Outta the game. Just add Vulkan API to added supported API's like DX11/DX12!

I'd really appreciate it, if they implement things like the vulkan api, but probaböly not gonna happen, especially dx12 isn't implemented in a decent way (crashes etc.).

JFC, what is this obsession with API's among people who've never written a line of code in their lives?

Using a new API isn't going to maximize the use of VRAM - that's dependent on the art assets that the game uses. Similarly, another game running Vulkan flawlessly doesn't mean this one will - see the issues with DX12 in Div2.

And while the Stadia builds do use Vulkan (as that's the only supported API there), a lot of effort would be needed to add it to the Windows build. Why? Because the Stadia build is targetting a much smaller set of known hardware than PC owners have.

DirectX12 issues are Nvidia’s fault, not the games. A few drivers ago Nvidia addressed more dx12 issues and since it works fine except for a random crash here and there but nothing like it used to be. I’ve been using it for awhile now and can’t remember last crash I had due to it.

As far as adding Vulcan that won’t happen, the entire game would need to be redone. Plus Vulcan isn’t all that either.

We just have to get enough people to like the idea. Some people take my idea the wrong way like! Oh no hes saying Vulkan API is better than DX11/X12 an they take it like i want DX11/DX12 removed. When thats not the case. I just wan't Vulkan API as one of the supported renders alongside with DX11/DX12! For me my RTX runs better on Vulkan over DX11/Dx12! I noticed this with Breakpoint & World War Z! I hope the community agrees with this request adding Vulkan support to the game. I think alot of people would love the performance they get with Vulkan like i did! If it doesn't work for you than you can toggle DX11 or DX12 back on! No hard feelings.

Not all the time dude! Breakpoint didn't get Vulkan API Support til a few updates later. Wish it would've came with it at release. I noticed Vulkan API runs more efficaint on my RTX 2070 Mobile more than using DX11/DX12! Not trying to bash DX but, Im going for what runs more efficiently than others. Adding Vulkan will never happen if the community doesn't request it enough. Thats why nothing gets added. like your comment here "As far as adding Vulcan that won’t happen", Yes it wont ever happen becuase theres not enough Vulkan users telling Ubisoft to add it to division 2! Vulkan is a great graphics API! I just wish there was enough people i could get to help get it implemented into the game. You don't have to use it but, I don't think it be a issue helping the other users requesting it to be apart of the Renders for the game. Im not telling Ubisoft or Massive to take DX12 or DX11 outta the game. Which it might sound like that but, Thats not my intention. I just want to get this API in the game to the supported list. It can happen if i can get enough people to request it. Would you be willing to help that's all i ask.

Citation needed - Breakpoint doesn't support DX12, which Div2 does (albeit buggily).
