Hi, I was thinking about replaying S2 which I own on GoG but it's just the original in DOSbox, nightmare to make CD music working. Is there the CD music in the history edition? I'm looking for the most original experience, maybe with exception of the too-many-ships bug :-) and would appreciate a higher resolution too. Ubi provides almost zero info, no trial and no refund policy, almost like when they do not want to sell. So I'm just asking here. Is the history edition the right one for me?

My apologies, I'm not sure I understand your query - Are you asking if the music is the same in the History Edition, or if the music files can easily be found?

The History Edition includes many bug fixes that were affecting the original, however you can always contact us if you experience any issues.

The resolution can go up to 4K

I can confirm that the Settlers II HIstory Edition does not include the CD music, it includes the midi soundtrack instead.
