Several hours per day
A few hours per day most days
A few hours per week or sporadically
Only when an update comes out (e.g. TU or AI Team)
I’m no longer playing even when updates come out but still hang out here
It’s fascinating to me that only about 18% of the folks here are playing daily. 82% are hanging out here and not playing very much if at all. That’s a bit strange to be honest.
I participate in a few other hobby related forums and I would very surprised if anyone was there who wasn’t actively engaged in the hobby/activity... never mind the vast majority.
Let’s be honest, these forums are sometimes entertaining, but 90% of the threads are the same crap every week. What keeps people here?
Fan of the series and would like to see it turn around and return to being a squad based tactical shooter with 6-8+ co-op. No point in playing something that is broken to the point that I could very well lose my character save with no easy way to back up the save as far as I know when it comes to console. Not only that but AI has yet to be improved so the game itself is not exactly all that enjoyable and so many things were downgraded. My main group of friends don't play it either and I don't care to try matchmaking, so no motivation to continue there. However, I can still voice my opinion on topics that appeal to me in the naive hope that Ubisoft "listens" and one day turns the series around to something that rivals my enjoyment from GR2 and GR2 summit strike.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post
Like Church said there's no point in risking the loss of saved game data and the game isn't good enough to play.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post
I'm here to give feedback and hopefully get some actual interaction from the devs to see what's going on.
Yeah. That’s what I expected to hear. Ubisoft or GR has some very loyal fans. I hope they don’t squander that.Originally Posted by Church367A Go to original post
They've been squandering it for over a decade as far as I'm concerned seeing how they remain married to the 4 player co-op model as being a satisfactory "squad" and arrived at breakpoint for a game with the Ghost Recon title slapped onto it.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post
With immersion mode,
the game took a good step to the right direction thus now i am playing the game after i got it a few days ago. Sadly the Story should have been in the same format as Wild Lands.
The health system is much improve (injury on Always and Health Regen on partial) over Wild Lands and i believe its a good trade between realism and Arcade like that.
Still...Gear options shouldnt be an option. it should be Removed flat out.I am pretty sure the low says number made it very clear where the community stands so leaving it there is just UBI not truly and fully admitting their mistake.
Stamina at Extreme still feels like i wont ever have to drink water, eat, or anything. so i hope the Survival becomes meaningful in a future update.
question is...is it too late? i just dont see a way ubi can turn this around and improve the sales number after the launch.
Controls.. man can someone explain to me why Prone is Still a massive downgrade over Wild lands?...
Classes needs to be taken a look at... Assasult/panter are like the only classes to use while the other are pointless.
Still..with the latest update it is playable unlike...
What keeps me here is a good portion of the community. .......not all, but the larger portion I enjoy interacting with.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post
That and the hope that Ubi might actually listen to the feedback many of us have been providing since Wildlands and even before during it's development.
My friends and I really enjoyed WL but like many, we thought it could be improved upon. I also didn't like the direction it was going later in its life cycle and as many did, voiced our opinions on what we'd love to see in the next iteration of the series.
WL was a big part of Ubi's financial success that period so it's clear to me that even in the face of it's detractors, they got something right with most. .....but they got it so wrong with Breakpoint. If only they listened as most of the same topics are being rehashed here as they were there years and many months ago.
I didn't buy Breakpoint and doubt I ever will. I honestly don't think it will ever be in a state that will be fun for me to play. The Ghost Experience was essentially just options to turn some of the things off I didn't like and tweak others but there are still fundamental aspects of the gameplay I still absolutely hate (e.g. the tech, bullet doing drones, vehicle physics/sounds/handling, camera angle/behavior, etc.).
I can appreciate them making the effort with the last big update but my real interest lies in their plans for the next title and/or the franchise.
Either way, I don't think I'll be around much longer as new titles release including In Insurgency Sandstorm this August which could very well be the time their "Summer" update happens. ...making GRB even more irrelevant to me at that point. In the meantime we have been pleasantly surprised with how fun Hardcore has been in CoD:MW.
This is not the only place hang around as I have other interests and also moderate in a couple forums. When I have moments, I usually go through various ones I'm involved with to read topics of interest, catch up on gaming news on social media, world news, check emails, etc.
This particular forum may remain relevant to me as long as my interest does in the franchise. ....as long as Ubi doesn't kill that for me too.
