Ghost Recon Future soldiers did 2 things right that UBI made worst with each new release.
    1. Controls. till the best controls from any of the new GR. from moving, shooting, sliding, to how tight the controls felt, and sliding to prone. Just COPY and past the controls from it but with the new cover system of WL/BP.
they wont listen so that wont ever happen.

    2. Weapon Customization. We all ask to keep it like this at the very least or make it even better. UBI once again didnt listen even when they could have just left it alone. Wild lands made it worst and BP made it even worst than that.

other than that FS was a good game as Future Solider..but a "Ghost Recon" game? It had Active camo with that and any Squad controls to speak off was put to bed.

Wild lands was closer to a "Ghost Recon" Game but was still fell sort. it was too Arcady and didnt have a in dept Squad commands. Hell it didnt even have GR2 commands.

Wild lands just needed more realism which BP immersion mode does help with. plus the injury system being included. Tighter controls, squad commands, and FS weapon smith annnnnnnd BOOM they got a hit on their hands.

Instead for some reason they decided the best thing to do was make the weapon system worst, controls worst, no Squad ai, even more Arcady than ever before, and throw away Wild lands story structure.... its like UBI cant listen to any feedback no matter if its about improving the game or telling them they did good. you tell then this is bad they wont do it..you tell them they did good and they will remove it all together. it is like they are taking our feedback but their mission is to make sure we dont like anything.

At least with Breakpoint immersion mode they are down sides to taking damage when you get injuries. plus you have limited healing items and it does take time to patch yourself off. that is a good balance between realism and Arcade. Also again Ignoring those thing does not change the game. Ignoring that i can shoot people, steal cars, hit the club, grab a "Woman", get my "Money back", and so on does not make GTA5 a racing game. Plus like i explain..Ignoring them has a very bad outcome as we just seen with breakpoint.

COD is an Arcade shooter. You think its a Realistic shooter because you are comparing it too Wild Lands and Breakpoint. that is not a Compliment to COD but disrespected to those 2 games. Devs will tell you its an Arcade shooter, the gamers, the game design, and so on. compare Wild lands/Breakpoint to insurgent, Squad, and arma(not too much with Arma because its a Mil Sim).
Those are the game that are leans into "Realism" rather than Arcading systems. Compare how they handle Reloading, moving, bellistic, health, and some details. Lets just keep it simple...why does the m4, 416, and the m4 tactical all does different damages? they all use the same round yet has about a 5 to 10 points difference in damage. Why does Suppressor reduces the damage by 20%? these are the things you cant even ignore. you cant ingore your armor meaning nothing at all. you cant ingore your health, your weapon mechanics, your Squad system, and so on.

All that they had to do was grab Wild Lands and learn it into Realism/Tactical squad base shooter like everyone ask. instead of having a Health Regen just have "Breakpoint" health system after immersive mode. Change the weapon mechanics closer to FS at the very least, change the weapon customization back into Future soldier (the reason they didnt was because of the RPG/Looter system..another reason why you dont ignore something.) , and than improve the Squad commonds.

That list which does not include everything they should have done would have made Breakpoint 1000% better. As long they kept the Story framework of Wild lands. you know why that didnt happen? because you ignore it. You just told UBI that you dont care if those system are in the game thus what happen? A disgusting in game store that sold everything you just paid for because you ignore it, a worst RPG system which does not belong in this game why? because you ignore it. So what does it matter to UBI? you will ignore it and still provide that 60$ to them and than they can try to get the massive market with said feature...Win Win for them. Ignoring something is not a Solution for any issue no matter we are talking about a Video game or a life problem.
Now this is not 2020 hindsight because i Told BLUE that this very thing will happen when you excuse it before the release of wild lands. So i called it years ahead before it happens. it is not because i am 500 QI player over here but because I lived through this with almost all of my "Games" that are dead now because of it.

What happens when you do not ignore something? Well we get results. Immersive mode wouldnt be here if Breakpoint sold good, Gear score wouldnt be gone if this game was being played a ton, the Injuring system would have been left as is. The battlepass will still be a thing if it was selling amazing. Jesus We wouldnt even have gotten the simple request of ONE primary weapon. Note we have been asking for this feature since Future Soldier which is over 7 to 10 years.it took this gaming Bombing hard for something so simple to be updated for. in short.

I would leave it with the most simple terms of i can explain something.
If you are in a Forest..do not Ignore the smoke or else you may end up with a Fire on your hands.
Thank you for explaining your point further, i guess i understand you a little better now. I think you are remembering wrong about damage in Wildlands, but i have to admit, i need to go back and check that myself. Still, i think you are completely wrong about "ignoring" perks in wildlands. Your gta-example doesn't make much sense, since you clearly pick it to show a game becoming a different genre. Ignoring perks in Wildnads doesn't make it a different game. Sorry. It makes it more or less comfortable to play, but it stays the same type of game. I also wonder why you are so harsh on CoD. Have you played anyother part of the series, other than AW & BO3? For those, yor criticism indeed makes sense, but i encourage you to try the current one. Especially when playing hardcore mode, the similarity to games like Insurgency is hard(er) to deny.

Also, i still wonder about your definition of an arcade-shooter. If CoD is an arcade-shotter to you, what is fortnite in your mind? I mean, given how you emphasize that wildlands was arcday in your mind because of perks... does that make fortnite - without perks that change your speed or endurance - a hardcore-simulation?

That all being said, you have very valid points in criticising Breakpoint - i'm generally on the same page with you there.

Wildlands played better when you goofed around. Flying helicopters into trucks etc There is tons of videos on youtube of serious gamers playing hardcore games that just gave up trying to play Wildlands seriously and ended up playing it like GTA and Just Cause and had a laugh...lets face it though Ubi tried to make Wildlands a milatary GTA and failed miserably.

I used GTA as example that ignoring parts of the game Doesnt turn it into a different gern not that it does become one. Which relates to wild lands by saying just because you ignore X does not make Wilds lands into something it is not.

I am not hash at COD. Just that game should not be a benchmark for realism or the only Style to aim for in terms of Game Design (graphics on the other hand should be the benchmark). COD MF is a Great Arcade shooter (microtransaction to the side) and that is what it should be. The same way i wouldnt want COD to become a Realistic or Mil Sim shooter is the same way i do not want Ghost recom Staying as a Arcade shooter. When comparing it to Wild Lands or Breakpoint COD MF is more realistic..yes but that is because you are comparing it to these 2 games instead of Realistic or mil sim shooters. COD shouldnt be what Ghost Recon Aims to be. Aiming for COD is like how Breakpoint Aim to be Division 3. You are in both cases aiming for the wrong Gern. COD is very openly being an Arcade shooter. the tactics they promote, to the speed of the game, to the shooting mechanics, the way health system works, the recoils, and so on. The little things are what moves the scale left to right. Again i like that COD but when i play it its for Fast and arcading gameplay.

look its not a Black or white...there is a Scale. if we take a look Arma sits way to the left. it doesnt Simulate everything possible thing but it Simulates so much of reality that it is in Mil Sim Territory. Ghost Recon 2, Rainbow six vega, Squad, or insurgency doesnt simulate reality but base their mechanics on reality. where games like COD, Wilds lands, or breakpoint make more Sacrifices between Simulation, how real world work, or to what is Easier/Smoother/less hassle for the sake of enjoyment you can say. So the question is how much does it tries to simulate it, base its systems on reality, and how many "Gaming" spins to they do. Example COD weapons being lasers beams interms of recoils is a design choice. its not grounded in reality or wanting to simulate an action..instead Game mechanics design to promote THEIR chosen playstyle. COD is not trying to promote slow gameplay nor realistic tactics. So while things like Weapon animation, how NVG looks, or how something reloads is very Realistics..the moment something doesnt fit their Game Design..its gone. That is why you have Health Regen and not ARMA health system. the moment you have such a health system you pushing the player to a different style of play. So while COD is a more realistic game than Fortnite just remember its relative to fortnite. its not black or white..even Arma makes gameplay design such as being able to heal after a gunshot. its a Scale. Note i am not talking about Graphics or Aesthetics just gameplay designs.

Thus why Wild lands/Breakpoint is not a Mil sim nor a "Realistic" shooter. It makes Design choices left to right that are not there too simulate or have a mechanics base on reality. they dont even have the reloading right.

to provide example between the difference of simulation, basing a mechanic on reality, and just a "Game" thing so you can better understand what i am trying to say

lets choose something nice a clear like bullet travel.

If you were gonna simulate this than you will have the bullet in real time being affected by wind, gravity, rotation of the earth maybe, and important in real time. you trying to Simulate a real bullet to the best of your ability under X scope. also note in game the bullet is a physical thing. keep this in mind

now instead of simulating this lets just create something base on the real world.
COD MH. maybe you didnt know but COD change its Bullets system this time world.
They added bullet drop now but it is not base on a real time simulation of wind/gravity, or so on. It just a less complex simulation of the real thing. now here is the kicker.. COD does have a phsyical "Bullet" but only after pass a center range. meaning within a Close range there is no bullet, no bullet drop, but instead its a Hitscan system.
Cod uses 2 design to make something Feel real, seem real, but its not. Its a great design for what they wanted to go for in their shootouts. Hitscans make combat feel very responsive.

now for to hell with everything reality well beam shot that burn people with the power of a 1000s suns. its not base in any reality but F it its cool as ****.

hey we all can play fornite as its a tactical realistic shooter moving slow with all the rogers in the planet..in the end of the day the game design doesnt promote that. I am not personally into Role playing pretending the game is something that it is not because in the back of your mind you will always know. In splinter Cell blacklist "Ghosting" a level was never the same thing as ghosting in CT why? because no matter how hard you try..the game was design to let people play this like COD meaning..you know if you get caught that everyone in that room will die. while getting seen in CT you know very feel **** can end up bad.

getting spotted in Wild lands/Blackpoint means just means i failed at stealth...getting spotted in Arma 3 means "oh ****, this will turn bad and it will turn bad very quick". just by turning on injuries and removing health regens changes how meaningful it is to get seen. cause now in the back of your mind you know..get hit 2 to 3 times..you cant barely move, it takes a while for you to patch yourself up, and it can mean your death soon enough. the best moment i had in beakpoint was me abusing a convo. i was able to kill most of the squad but i got let up to the point i was in Critical mode. meaning i can barely move, my aim is ****, and i only had a pistol. the good news...is that the main truck kept on riding along..the bad news? they left drone up to get me. i was behind a rock with barely any health with a pistol trying to take out the Drone before it takes me out. i was able to take it out god knows how, patch myself up, and take transport to finish the job. that will never happen in wild lands.. i just hide behind a rock and BOOM 100% health in seconds. than speed run down that truck.

I am looking for that kind of gameplay that can only be found within games that tends to be more realistic.
