So what's up with these famers in WSP missions nowadays

I pretty much lost count of the times I've been kicked out of a group that apparently were farming (especially Pier 93) in resistance missions. They start matchmaking, a group forms and we start the mission. In first rounds all is well and you can't really notice a difference between farmers and players that just play the missions as they were designed, complete levels (quick and efficiently) and see how far you can get without a team wipe.

So you start killing NPCs as they popup, then all of sudden you're not supposed to do that anymore. The other players start yelling, cursing and calling names because you're doing exactly what you're supposed to, shoot and kill. But oh no, you're not allowed anymore, they want to maximize on SHD points at each level so by the time you kill the boss(es) they go berserk and you get kicked. And there are those players that sit back in a corner hiding for most of the time, but rush out to collect all SHD when levels are completed. Then go back to their hiding spot not spending any of it while sitting on thousands of points. They aren't even bothered to open a door or support the team. No no, can't do that, I need it for my caches or else I can't open all those boxes, located in the other rooms!. Also don't want to run out of bullets or med-kits. Yeah right, that you don't need anyway or do you? Last few days it felt like people want a team but don't like to play as a team, instead they go solo but need the support of others.

Look I understand that some players like to farm for gear but what they can't seem to comprehend is that others don't care about that crap. There is nothing in this game that I don't have or better then what I already have or improves my builds. So if you refuse to setup a team before you start the mission don't be surprised if you get other players in your group the moment you start matchmaking. And if you choose to do so at least have the decency to inform all players what your intentions are. Instead of getting angry at someone who isn't doing as you wish and kick them out of the team. Sick and tired of spending my time on these F-ers and happy to leave the moment you say you're only running the mission for farming and go for wipe after having opened few a caches.

But it might be I am just getting to old for this and simply lack the ability to telepathically get the message to play in farming mode only. Which I really don't get in the first place, collect as much as you can in lower levels (they've seen YT videos with solo player) and bail out before it gets to hard, because they can't survive?. It isn't that there aren't any SHD points in upper levels, on the contrary you get so much more of it. There is plenty to open cache boxes as you go along the map area, but you have to put up a decent fight with some of the NPCs you meet along the way.

That line could make it better in almost every random matchmake group. Then again, you'll get those who do the opposite just for spite (it seemed). We were trying to do some of the incursions flawlessly on heroic. It was a friend and I, and we'd matchmake for the remaining two. This went on for hours, people just being careless. I finally just suggested we run with just the two of us. We had played the game a lot together by that point. So, first try on Dragon's Nest, 2nd try on Falcon's Lost and we got them. He hated Stolen Signal and I am not a fan of Clear Sky so we never tried flawless heroic on those two. I am not sure we would have done it on our first tries if it was just us, but after running it so many times, we got our roles and builds figured out.

I initially played Resistance as it was intended. Then, a few of my friends seen the wave 10 stuff on YT and wanted to do that. For some reason he always watches tons of content before he actually plays it himself. No idea why. Half the fun is trying to figure it out. If you get stuck and wipe repeatedly, THEN look for some help... Anyway, after helping them gear up that way, I very quickly grew to despise that game mode.

I initially also liked the WSP as a whole. But, the way enemies spawn right on top of you after you clear an area makes it ridiculous to play as a sniper. I love that the area is "alive", but there should have been a spawn timer, or a distance one must go before they respawn. As it is, aside from getting the commendations on my 2nd account, I haven't played it since.

    Ok, I'll bite.
Yes, find out what the plan is. Gear or waves. Both, usually means an exit at around 25ish. Language barriers or refusing to communicate make it more difficult. If no one answears by wave 3, I move on. I've learned when one person sits on 20 or 30k early and no communication, points towards a waste of time.

Whether playing for gear or waves, there is a strategy, if you will. FYI to gear players, you can open the second gear box like when you started with the first one.
The first 10 waves are the money waves. Wave 4, 5, 8, and 10 is the easy SHD money. The goal for these four waves is to score a minimum of 50 kills in each wave. 200 additional kills by the end of wave 10 is more money for gear, or more money required to open the map up for later scans, pulse or support stations. Strong team, open up. Newer players or weaker loadouts, pulse and support station. Last thing you want to do is be open up a door in the map on wave 38 or so with the tiger woods guys beating on you while trying to open doors. The Hunter wave can be a little tricky to farm. Davis and Taylor need to be killed first. The later boss waves are played out in how much control you have on that wave. EMP or virus and struggling, may want to just kill em all and be done with it. After maybe a 1000 hours in resistance, I have learned a few things about how to play resistance and gear loadouts.

Myself, I would rather play for waves. It is far more entertaining than Legendaries. Over my time playing resistance, yes I have my pet peeves. Players opening wrong doors, killing bosses too early, securing the laptop too early usually lead to nothing but tougher play later and frustration. Making it more difficult than what it needs to be. It would be nice if the dancing players could learn to dance NOT in front of you. Yes, I understand On the Move player talent. When using striker, talk about killing stacks quickly. D3 players, would be nice if they could stay with the group off to the side a little bit. Too far out front and the group loses the buff. They kill stacks as well constantly trying to shoot around them. Think Hallway of Death in 93. To all players, stay in the magic green circle. One, you do not need to buy ammo every 3 waves. The price in that ammo crate goes up according to how many times ammo was purchased from it. Second, the spawns change when you are running all over in the back 80. Third, when you go down and unconscious, that is where the bad guys congregate. Pred players, carefull in the early waves. Your bleed will kill the boss quick. Remember, 50 kills is the goal for money, not 4. Firecrest guys, same thing, watch your turrent. Tac players, careful with the seekers and pulse turrent.

I have more but will end it there. Resistance wave play I think is the ultimate test of group play. You will only go as far as the weakest link, and that doesnt mean who is the poor shooter.
Play as a unit with loadouts to compliment the group, you will see the difference. Nothing better than playing with a group of regulars who understand resistance vs rambo matchmaking.

Couldn't the same thing be said for you?
If you want to go as far as you can look for a team that wants to do that instead of going into MM and expect the other players to already be as fully decked as you are.

Or god forbid, you could help them out instead of robbing them of the chance to get a piece they need.

I agree desrocchi. Don't kick, educate and things will go better. The more geared they are the better the chances they will be back to play resistance. Same as pvp in dark zone. Guys cry all the time the server is dead, yet they don't understand that by stealing their stuff at extractions, they won't come back. Perhaps letting them extract, then kill them in open area. You get your kill and they stand a chance next time because they are more geared up.

Problem is too many players won't listen when you try to educate and/or are hell bent on doing their own thing even when the other 3 players in the group are clear in what their intentions are.

Players like the OP ultimately make it much harder than it should be for everyone and most people are playing a different style to what they want - they'd be better off starting their own group with like minded players (easier said than done unless you have a lot of friends). Even those who are wanting to go to high waves will try and max out SHD in the early waves so as to be able to upgrade stuff, etc. and many regular players will have the technique down perfected for getting through the first ~25 waves and won't tolerate people who don't quickly adapt to that play style that is simply how it is.

I understand your point OP but also Pier 93 was set up bad and leads to this kind of game play, if you could get the loot you wanted by doing a 3rd of a legendary you would have the same problem but you cant, you have to do whole thing, just bad design which leads to this kind of game play.
