A plea from a dedicated fan rapidly losing faith

I have been unable to play the immersive mode since release - that's now over two months.

As has been documented, the E button is hard coded and cannot be rebound.

I am an ESDF person. I am a coder. I touch type. I cannot play WASD. My fingers would be offset from the numbers.

Every time I move across a dropped weapon, I swap it in.

I have tired to play and work around it.

It kills the fun of the game. It's nearly impossible in a fire fight to not accidentally walk across a weapon. It completely ruins the experience.

I have been a fan of Wildlands since it's release. I purchased all the expansions.

I purchased the $100 edition of Breakpoint as soon as it went on sale.

While everyone else was smacking the game down, I went to Ubi's defense. 'They'll fix it' 'The game is still fun'. 'Give them a chance'.

We were so excited for the changes. I love the idea behind immersive mode.

None of us are willing to play a substandard version of the game. When I realized it was bugged and unplayable, I was like 'seriously? released with keybinds broken?'. But I didn't get on here and *****. I waited for the patch.

The patch arrives and it doesn't fix it.

To say I was stunned would be an understatement. How can you not take the inability for people to rebind the movement keys seriously? Pretty pissed. Voiced it. Got some inane responses from Ubisoft people about that it could be 'worked around'.

You mean played in such a way as to be no fun? Because that's what it means. This cannot be worked around.

Patch 2 comes out. Still not fixed. I look over the patch notes. How is it possible some of these things are ahead of the keybinds being broken?

I sit here TWO MONTHS after the release of the immersive patch still unable to play wondering if MAYBE I will finally be able to play in June.

I'm not the fan I was - and I never will be again. I will still play it..well if it ever gets fixed...but I won't defend it. I won't recommend it. And as of right now, given the attitude and copy/paste responses I've gotten from the UBI people on this forum, I'm pretty done ever buying another Unbisoft game again.

And honestly..if you guys can't fix it by the June patch, I want my money back. Yeah. I paid for a season pass that I cannot play - that rests completely on the shoulders of Ubisoft. You released a game with little or no QA OR you released it knowing full well it was broken. I don't know that it even matters which it is at this point.

It's incredibly disappointing to be treated like this.

Just move on from this game and play something else but dont forget what they did and be cautious in the future. Wait for reviews.

I know...I just really want to play. We really enjoy the game. I don't know that any amount of caution would have helped here - I didn't have issues with the game like a lot of people had.

I mean, I didn't like the direction it went in but we still enjoyed playing.

    Hey there,

The team is aware of the issue with the binding of "E" and they are currently working on a fix. I understand how frustrating this is. Thank you for taking the time to report this.

Yes been hearing that for two months. It's obviously not a priority.

It took them two months to fix a bug that literally made the game unplayable.(Silent Mountain crashing) You're kidding yourself if you think they're going to lift a finger before they are forced to, just to fix a custom control preference.
