    Ballistics, damage etc etc

Who or what model was used?
Make it easy for you, QuickLoad software yield all data you could possibly need.
That will allow whoever at ubi to grasp a 5.56 is a 5.56 regardless of gun, same with any caliber.
How you guys got numbers of same cal but different gun to vary is comical, but not the way it works

Since your attempting to emulate elite military, please advise what unit currently uses 3x binoculars?
They do not employ such an item any where, your misconceptions are abundant

Currently high powered sniper scopes vary but are 15x plus, most being variable zoom in 5x - 25x range
What did the think tank at ubi give us? 5x

    Please, please
Fix the damage and ballistic models, unless this is now a fantasy looter shooter?
Upgrade the optics, 5x scope is so laughable wrong
How many guys with input to game have actual working knowledge of any firearm or scope, your lack of knowledge on topic is glaring wrong

    Necos, Quickload
More info than you will ever need

    I wouldn't agree 5.56 is 5.56 regardless of gun/rifle. It isn't.

Kinetic energy = 1/2 Mass x Velocity squared.

So it depends on bullet velocity, how powerful the gun or rifle is. They would vary I believe like Steyr AUG (970m/s) vs G36C (722m/s) and both are 5.56 NATO round. The same round but different velocity and kinetic energy.

Cal.50 Desert Eagle will have much less power rather than cal.50 for M82A1. The same calibre but different round (I'm just comparing because you've said gun - not rifle or pistol - and not sure if you meant anything specific for this word).

I'd agree on scopes and binoculars. Would be great to have scopes with bigger magnification and actually working ones like we have one in the game stated as : "Magnification vary" but there is no any adjustment to it, only one setting for it. I'm sorry I don't remember which one was it, but it's sniper scope for sure.

Would be great if 1x scopes and collimators would not have any magnification but they have a little bit now.

    Cheers!

The same round but different FPS
Wait let me try this one more time, same NATO spec cartridge used in both guns
The result will be the same, unless there is a huge difference in barrel length. Once more, if cartridge A is used in 2 different guns unless there is large difference in barrel length result will be same

The 50 desert eagle and M82 do not use same cartridge period
Your talking 2 completely different rounds,

Holy hell you work for ubi

Buy a copy of Quickload, then engage in topic, I have used item for going on 20yrs. So am more than familiar with topic

FPS depends on powder charge weight, bullet weight, barrel length

But please continue to compare 50ae to 50bmg, logic applied to your explanation would explain much in this game
556 is 556 period, like round fired 30 different guns barring any vast difference in barrel length will have same terminal ballistics
50ae is not and will never be same as 50bmg
Don’t care if it’s a 18” barreled pistol or rifle, same round equals same ballistics

You however compared 2 completely different rounds to argue what?
I did not say 50ae is same as 50bmg
    556 is 556 period
Congrats on identifying how ubi got confused as you did

You've used word "gun" which stands for pistol as well as a rifle, that's I've compared Deserd Eagle and M82A1. I know there is no point to compare those for power since cartridge is different.

I gave an example of FPS for AUG and G36C (970m/s vs 720m/s) the same NATO round different FPS, but if take G36 standard it has FPS of 920m/s. So three different rifles and three different FPS for the same round. As you've said - depends on barrel and this example shows it. We have some guns with different barrels for the same round in Ghost Recon.
Steyr AUG 20 inch vs. G36C 9 inch. Still the same round but different FPS and damage so on.
