I'm with the OP on this. This game is full of Toxic players.
One thing that amazes me about this game is it's called For Honor, but having taunts/emotes the game is the last thing any honourable player would do.

What really pisses me off are people who taunt you after they've killed you. Nothing worse than playing against a Warlord who then doe his one knee up and down repeat over you. Worse, you've just been ganked by 3 players and they think this is funny. You wouldn't like it in real life so why in the game?

By removing the taunts you remove a HUGE amount of toxicity in the game.
It's bad enough, being mismatched, playing against REP 70 characters, when you're starting out with a new one, but having to deal with constant taunts just pisses me off and one of the major reasons I quit so many games.

Yeah this is definitely where I draw the line as well. Emote spamming can be funny, typically I save the emote spams for when the enemy team breaks them out or if my teammates are already on the meme train. I like to keep my main loaded will lots of loud/bright effects and the most spastic emotes available for this purpose.

BUT, when people start trash talking their own team on txt chat in PC or when kids on console feel the need to send a salty message after a match I get annoyed. It is one thing to play an unfun match but it is another to verbally/textually harass people.

It is important that people remember that this is a fighting game. Even in real life people want to take up their opponents head-space in order to mentally rob them of brain power so they make more mistakes and more predictable moves. I think that can be done through emote spamming and whatnot in FH. But i think that it ends past that, going to message people within the game or outside the game goes beyond the confines of the 'arena' and is toxic.

I get mentally robbed as it is I don't like getting sent messages
makes me want to stop completely. It just ruins the experience
in general. Imo there should be an option to just turn off receive messages
for console we don't have text chat but receiving messages from sore winners
and losers is mentally exhausting. (not talking about notifications.)

Did you thought about the reason why finding a game takes up to 10-15 min ?

there is many reason's to that, but one of them is toxic players.

there is 2 types of toxicity in for honor

    1- toxic behavior ( big issue )
2- toxic playstyle ( minor issue)

1-toxic behavior examples is when you kill your opponent and proceeds to spam emotes over his body or use vulgar speech in chat
the vulgar speech is reportable but the report system implemented is weak , i had a similar question to an old post about reporting and i found that it takes 10 report's at a certain player for ubisoft to take action this should change , there is only 4 players at a single 4v4 game and one or two players on brawl not all of them will report and not all players have their chat feature opened , many also don't care .
For the emotes part it isnt reportable , i get that emotes purchased to be used , emotes are supposed to be fun its only how you use them , toxic players use emotes to purposely ruin someone's day , personally i don't care about them but it definitively effects the overall atmosphere of that particular game.

2- toxic playstyle is when you play( warden bp warlord conq or glad(zones only) ) and stares at your opponent do nothing but dodge forward gb or bash

it isn't considered toxic playstyle if the game mode was ranked or if its a tournament with a prize on stake but for casual game mode it is toxic playstyle

i don't believe anyone would enjoy fighting against that unless if you're playing the same class or one of the above choices , which is why almost every game regardless of the game mode you will find only these heroes been picked , it gets boring and frustrating in the long run , low tier heroes need to be buffed/reworked quickly to be able to compete otherwise the game eventually will lose many of the playerbase

toxic playstyle isn't that big of an issue it can be punished or by buffing/reworking the low tiers or when the testing grounds changes comes live

but the toxic behavior is the real issue here , i had many friends that i invited to play for honor stopped after a week because how toxic it is , new comers will not care to learn or get better at the game when this behavior rages them and simply have a bad time .

my friends showed me some screen shots of racial slurs kys i wish you get cancer and many disgusting messages while they played for a week only .

for anyone reading this please promote positivity it will reflect your game experience in the long run

    Thank you.
The issue here is that, you have yourself a toxic playstyle. I have played with you on several occasions, and you are a turtle. You will rarely initiate the combat, you will wait to parry to do something. So how is that not toxic ?

not true , i'm not a turtle i do throw lot of attacks i'm far from playing optimal play-style and i do go for unsafe moves that can be punished severely , most heroes i main are without openers which in turn can open me up easily against heroes with openers i have never played in a competitive level , only played ranked for the loot but if my opponent is not throwing attacks back and fish for parries then yea i'm gonna play it safe too , see some people mistake the term " turtle" if your opponent is throwing attacks that you couldn't counter , while he is consistently countering yours he is not a turtle , he just in that moment had the better reads.

i remember a player called me a turtle recently , he was spamming attacks at me with no feints , and i parried all of them , then he proceeds talking smack in chat and i kept silent , said to myself am i supposed to let it hit me for your own satisfaction ?

feel free to add me Lunamaria2020 i'm not toxic at all , cheers

You do not throw a lot of attack if you have not parried or if you have not revenge. Even when your opponent feints a lot, you just wait for him to commit to do something.
