🛈 Announcement
Greetings! The For Honor forums are now archived and accessible in read-only mode, please go to the new platform to discuss the game

Lack of developer interaction and communication is extremely noticeable

I normally post on Reddit, but the likelihood of a Ubisoft Community Manager actively interacting with posts seems to be higher here/

Compared to other, older Ubisoft titles (Rainbow 6: Siege being the most blatant example), For Honor's Community Management team hardly interacts with the community through dev blogs, states of the game, lore posts, and other news. Though the official forums have slightly more CM interaction, other platforms like Reddit are woefully threadbare. Community Managers there only post announcements and follow up on bug issues. Eric Pope wasn't perfect, but his passion for the game and genuine interest in the opinions and interactions of the For Honor community were expressed in the way he kept tabs on the playerbase in an active way. UbiYubble described the way UbiJustin handles our Reddit community as being a "silent guardian," which is precisely the opposite of what we need right now, especially during these times where not much is going on with the game.

The absolute state of the official site (fh.ubi.com) leaves much to be desired, as well. The last lore post series was abruptly stopped a year ago, left to rot presumably, and the last dev blog was in November of 2018, and the last post under "Player Activities" was in August of 2017! In contrast, R6S is getting nonstop blog posts, balance analyses, and general dev activity, the most recent of which was posted hours ago. The difference is striking.

This isn't to say you in the Community Management team do not work hard, but it is to say that there is definite room for improvement. Some improvements that I can think of include (but are not limited to) continuing to publish tidbits of your game's story under the "Lore" tab, even if it isn't a full length novel, making posts similar to R6S's "Top Issues and Community Concerns" posts with more frequency (so that the playerbase knows you know what's wrong), and hold more honest AMAs, so that the playerbase can pose burning questions and get real answers.

TLDR; Low communication atm bad. More communication, please.

Huge understatement devs don't respond much here either I guess
the dev team isn't much for convo cats got their tongues.

Only the CMs but they respond for around a week it feels like
it's funny that they sit around a chair for a job they don't do as
diligently as they should be around a time like this.

I won't blame them they probably have better things to do as is.

Let's hope they took this time to create some sick looking armor. Especially compared to the reskins and few new pieces last season.

    I have spoken.

Clans & friend squads are keeping this game alive on console. Matchmaking is taking longer but with some fresh content next season it should pick up a bit.
