    Guardbreak impossibility

So, being a player of FH for a few years now, it just dawned on me - HOW ON EARTH CAN ALL CHARACTERS GUARDBREAK OPPONENTS WITH WEAPONS/SHIELDS IN THEIR HANDS?

From what I can see, there are a lot of characters whose hands are taken up holding two weapons/or a weapon and a shield, not making it possible for them to guardbreak. Added to that, what parts of armour DO THEY GRAB? For example, where in the Centurion can you grab, or the Lawbringer?

This is a flawed game mechanic.

For Honors Fighting never aimed to be realistic.

If you watch the animation, you can see that this grab is a small punch in some cases, for example, the warden hits with the crossguard of his sword. Also, what makes Lawbringer that hard to grab?

I don't think realism should be a valid argument in the game. It is quite clear realism is not intended, otherwise there would be around 4 characters totally untouchable by everyone else- how do you cut armor with a katana or any sword? They wouldn't even cause discomfort to a lawbringer.

Also when both combatants are wearing full harness (like LB's armour) grappling was very often involved. When either combatant can take a sword swing to the head and not die, it can easily resort to grappling and knives.

That and FH is in no way realistic or LB would be basically immortal outside of a few of the heavy bludgeons, jorm wouldn't be able to move his hammer, and raider would be instantly killed by anything as hes running around shirtless.

There is an old saying 'function over form' - things need to work first, then be made to look nice second. GB is needed to help with the dodge/parry situations and is an integral part of the game.
