    Feat quickfix

I just had an idea one day: I think it would be cool if you would let us choose from lower tier feats in place to our existing ones.

This version would work like this: You may equip a level 1 feat for your level 2, 3 or 4 spots, so for example you max choose to not unlock a level 2 feat at all, but instead have 2 level 1s. For some heroes like Peacekeeper it would be really helpful, since both Bounty Hunter and Stealth are far better than any of her level 2 feats.

Would open up all kinds of cheese combos though, they cant balance the feats locked in place, let alone being able to sub some out

Nice idea, and one i've had for ages (where they feats are more a list you can take 4 of) however I wouldn't trust the balance team to rest a cube on a flat surface

For me the easiest fix is to just start will all feats unlocked and a number of uses per feat per game - How you use them is then up to you and alot more strategic than 'got lvl 4 early, use it now so it comes back'

    Damn

Yes, as an idea it may sound good on paper, but the cheese factor is through the roof.
One example - Jorm's T1 heal on bash. Congratulations, now every hero with a bash has a healing feat including Warden, LB, WL, Conq,Cent....
WHat the game needs is a feat overhaul. Not just a balance run (tweaking the numbers) but actually give every hero useful feats at all levels. Nothing kills the whole point about having multiple feats to choose from like that feat that is just outright better than everything else. Even worse, having one of your four feats be completely worthless because none of them are good.

Coming up with good feats and combinations is hard. So I would have this as a community project. Let the players submit feat ideas and just pick out the best ones. History is pretty much proving me wrong here, but I believe that the entire community put together should have more grey matter available than the dev team.

I second that idea personally. If the devs don't want to do the initial leg work of rebalancing the feats/adding new ones in to replace them let the community do that part. then the devs can take what they like from it and implement those. And we can hopefully move onto making the rest better.

Personally I wish that feats were more game mode based. For example: a feat that lets you spawn pikemen instead of regular minions for the next spawn of minions, a feat that lets you instacapture a zone as long as nobody else is there. Basically feats that have less to do personal combat power and more to do with the strategy of the game mode.

I think it'd make it easy to make feats class based that actually have to do with what those classes do in-game.
