Next line in user agreement is very abusive:
8.2 Termination of the Account or access to Service(s) at our initiative.
We may suspend or close your Account and your ability to use one or more Services or part of the Services, at any time, automatically and at our sole discretion where:
- upon notification, where your Account has been inactive for more than six months.
What if you don't provide me with games I'm interested in? I have been playing Wildlands for two years but now I'm bored of it and I don't see any game I want to play next. Assassin's Creed is turned into RPG, and I don't like that, Beyond Good and Evil is far from completion, Watch Dogs 3 is no more story-driven game, Driver and Prince of Percia are freezed or canceled forever... The situation appears: all future Ubisoft releases are absolutely beyond my interest. So why should I be active? Still I hope in future Ubisoft revive those series and I'm ready to buy them but ASAP but... all my stats can be erased till that time! What a joke! Just think about it. You make your customer guilty for his interests!
I dont care about all the new rules about smurf accounts and so on.
But... i was collecting and buying games for many many years. Why would you delete my account leaving me without my games after just 6 months of not logging in?! What if am getting ill? What if army service? What if long work journey? What if i am poor and my PC is broken so i cant log in for a long period of time? What if i stopped playing your games and i am not interested in other games or just waiting for some other game which will release in a year or so?
At this point I am just afraid to buy new games, having in mind you can simply delete my account with all MY games like PUFF and its gone.
Instead of making your clients happy and willing to return to your shop - you deleting the only thing that is keeping them bonded with you - their game collection.
Hi you two! We would not just delete your account without proper notification. As stated:
"UPON NOTIFICATION, where your Account has been inactive for more than six months."
We also are not in the habit of deleting people's accounts, this just reserves us the right to do so should we feel it's necessary. We are also open to appeals if an account gets deleted for inactivity and a player contacts us to tell us it is in error.
Why are you doing this ?
here is me in army through 2 months, exactly on 1 year .
you want to say that you delete my account just because I am not mentally or physically unable to log in to my account for 1 day at least ?
Why don't you value your customers ,why do you fall below EA ?
I chose you only for good games and for the reliability of the safety of my games ,and you just take and throw dirt in my face ,why are you with us so Ubisoft ?
You spoke about the appeal ,but at the same time the bot responds to the requests of the help service ,with the same text to every single one.
Could you please refine in what case a non-logging in user would create a situation in which it is necessary to delete the account?Originally Posted by UbiChrisMANG Go to original post
I cannot as we mods do not deal with these situations.Originally Posted by Hoegaardener70 Go to original post

As a mod of these forums for 5 years + I CAN assure you that I have not become aware of any complaints on these forums from anyone who has had their account deleted due to inactivity. I don't believe this is a common occurrence by any means. If it does happen however you can appeal it using the Support contact information I've provided above.
It isn't a common occurrence.Originally Posted by UbiChrisMANG Go to original post
However, people may think this now is a new explicit condition, added in the updated EULA terms (MAY 12TH, 2020). Whereas it was already there at least 4 years ago, and apparently has been in the Terms at least since July 2013.
Ubisoft stated back then:
(...) To give it a little more context, the reasons given in the TOS are more like additional points you can use to avoid ever having your account suspended, which are not normally mentioned in most TOS agreements. Some of them are more likely to happen than others and the 6 months of inactivity is probably on the lower end of the likelihood list.
This kind of rule covers scenarios where we may (As an example) wish to clear up our databases of inactive entries for maintenance or to purge empty inactive accounts or free up things like parked usernames. It's unlikely that we would just erase the accounts without letting you know in advance either, so that you'd have a chance to login again and negate the suspension. After all we don't WANT to lose you as a user of our services even if you don't have pay functions available, which is why you get these kinds of warnings in the Terms of Service agreement that should be read but never is.
Well I landed on this video today that basically explains about article 6, Content that you may create.
Any User Generated Content (UGC) you upload to, for example, YouTube or other media, Ubisoft owns it. If there's a picture of you in that video or likeness or even someone else, Ubisoft owns it. And if they want, they can advertise that UGC however they want and they don't even need to notify you about it. And if for some reason that person that's with you in the UGC doesn't like what Ubiosft is doing and they sue the company, YOU will be the one to pay the price.
+ The fact that even if you buy the game you don't own it, since Ubisoft is sort of giving you a license to play it and they can take that license away anytime they want for any reason is appalling at best.
This is some serious stuff. I don't do UGC but it's a breach of lots of things, and if Ubisoft won't change these User Agreements I'll close my account. I don't care about the games, It's about principle.
Yeah I'm declining that mess as soon as I see it pop up on my screen. Ubi can shove that EULA. It's unenforceable garbage and I look forward to the notification that I no longer have access to my Ubisoft account. I'm more than sick of their copypasta openworld grinds anyway.
You do not own criticism of your products nor the likeness of anyone who offers criticism you utterly shattered snowflakes.Whoever wrote that EULA drivel seems to want Ubi sued into oblivion by hordes of game critics and streamers. lol Should all be entertaining, really the most entertaining byproduct Ubi has produced in years tbh.
