I noticed that Ubi are taking steps to tighten things up in relation to toxic players.
Speaking as a highly toxic player (it's true) the first thing Ubi needs to realise that herding people into mp and pvp is a recipe for disaster. I only play alone because I find it difficult to get along with people from many other backgrounds, who usually find the banter myself and people like me engage in to be way too rough. I don't blame them. I can see that we're not really tuned the same way when it comes to conversation, and I'm happy to just play PvE on my tod and keep my attitude to myself. If I and people like me are forced into playing MP and PvP in order to get some value out of the game, it's going to be like the seventh circle of hell in there, and it's all Ubi's own fault for seeing nothing but dollar signs when it comes to this franchise, which, to be honest, is a highly cynical, nay, destructive, morally corrupt sort of genre to be milking for people who aren't even into it.
I wouldn't say I agree with people who see nothing wrong with the whole mythology of games like this (I won't play CoD because I just cannot sympathise with the SAS, for example) but I suck it up and make the most of it so I can have my shooty fun. I wouldn't go exploiting the whole thing to make money off certain countries' murderous delusions, though. I'm not that bad. Ubi are, though. They don't believe in all this either. That's why BP is so soulless and the commercial side so exploitative. They should just hand this off to someone who at least gets it, even if it makes them feel dirty. Try Canada.
