Yeah so technically E3 is cancelled, at least as a live event. But that isn't likely to stop developers making major press anouncements etc during the E3 period. There have been rumours flying around about Far Cry 6 being released "soon"... So do you think it will be announced this summer, and thus likely get released spring 2021?
Personally I think it's more likely that we won't hear anything about FC6 until summer next year (followed by a spring 2022 release). And that this summer Ubisoft's primary focus will be on Valhalla.
But what do you think? Maybe you're more optimistic than me and expecting a FC6 announcement this summer followed by a 2021 release? Or maybe you're even hoping for a release later this very year?
What are your predictions?
Let's take a look at this ....
Far Cry 2 - 2008
Far Cry 3 - 2012
Far Cry 4 - 2014
Far Cry 5 - 2018
Far Cry 6 - ????
What we have is - 4 years between FC2 and FC3, 2 years between FC3 and FC4, and 4 years again between FC4 and FC5.
We have 4 -2 -4 cycle. Which means 4 -2 -4 -2 -4 -2 -4 -2 - 4 -2 - ............
So, first signs of the game should be in 2020. In summer, maximum in autumn.
+ PS 5 release. ( by the end of 2020)
2020 - convergance point.
The more profitable previous game the faster comes the next.
So, wait a little. The first news should be coming soon!
I'm guessing (HOPING really) that some more news will come forward at Ubisoft Forward July 12 2020:
It's legit, see https://twitter.com/Ubisoft/status/1259876577506136064:

Spoiler: Show
It's very clear that Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be an Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 launch title. They already announced Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine, Beyond Good and Evil 2, Skulls and Bones, Gods & Monsters and The Settlers for 2020 and beyond. Ubisoft is also likely to be focusing on another Assassin's Creed game or two at the same time as Valhalla. We're still anticipating for the next Splinter Cell game.
2004 Far Cry
2005 Far Cry Instincts
2006 Far Cry Instincts Evolution, Far Cry Instincts Predator and Far Cry Vengeance
2007 Paradise Lost
2008 Far Cry 2
2012 Far Cry 3
2013 Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon
2014 Far Cry 4
2016 Far Cry Primal
2018 Far Cry 5
2019 Far Cry New Dawn
Realistically, we can expect an announcement of Far Cry 6 next year and the game would be released in 2022. Of course I can be wrong and they may reveal Far Cry 6 this year.

Ubisoft have publicly stated that they have 5 "AAA" games releasing in the current fiscal year (which ends march 2021), now that AC Valhalla is announced, we know what 4 of them are, AC:V, Watch dogs legion, Rainbow 6 Quarantine, Gods & monsters. That leaves one as yet unannounced "AAA" game to be released by march next year, and industry insider Jason Schrier has indicated that final, unrevealed game will be FC6.
I really wish I have people in my friends list who play Far Cry 5 a lot. I have been working on my map since Far Cry 5 came out and I haven't been working on it for a long time now. I lost interest in finishing them and people who badmouth games really discouraged my friends to play Far Cry 5. I have Far Cry 5 on all platforms, but I don't have PlayStation Plus. So I mostly play Far Cry 5 on Xbox One and PC.Originally Posted by Steve64b Go to original post
When I do finish working on my maps, I do want to port my maps from Xbox One to PC and PC to Xbox One and PS4 but without having 'MapSwapper' as an author.
Yes. But better some short video. May be funny, with humour.Originally Posted by Unsaneboi Go to original post
People don't like reading in the game! (majority)
I think the game should avoid large printed texts and long audio. In order not to irritate people once more.
